256MB Infineon SDRAM for $40 @ AugustusTech

AugustusTech sells them for $40, well it's actually major brand, but they have infineon chips in some of them, if your lucky you will get one. I went to the store since it was so close, they let me handpick =), they had infineon, micron, and hundyai for their major brand. Well going there next week to hand pick that 1.33GHz AYHJA

If it was a garanteed infineon chips I would buy 4

Is this a no go on a BX ? As soon as I see 64 anything in the description I assume its not. The BX WILL see it as a 128 but not its full 256 size.

I picked up a stick of PC133 256MB generic memory with Infineon chips and it works fine on my BX6-2 motherboard. In fact, it works better than fine... it can run CAS2 at 133 instead of the CAS3 it was advertised as

Arg, cheap ram but high shipping costs...the lowest shipping for a stick of 128 Pc133 was $11...

The two best mfgrs. out there are on either Apacer or PowMem PCB's. They are not all created equal. Make sure they are 6 layer, but a pretty decent buy......

I'm also interested in you handpicking some chips. I gotta be sure that this stuff can do 150 cas 2 though. could you see what speed you can get? and how much owuld two sticks shipped be?

Did check with AugustusTech sale person to verify if they have memory with infineon chip. At this moment, they ran out of infineon chip, but have plenty of micron, hundyai, samsung, ibm chip. Which chip should I go for beside infineon?
