I bought this a few weeks ago. Not a bad deal. I paid $179.
Don't buy it because of the CAS 2 description. You ain't gonna get it. Otherwise a great deal!

I'm tempted to buy another one but I've already spent about $600 on various other ram in the last couple of weeks.

What the hell is with that laundry list of disclaimers regarding compatibility the Asus A7V? I already KNEW my A7V was not compatible with Aureal Vortex (even though it does work anyway).

hey guys,just a reminder, although RAMs are cheap, but the quality really counts! My coworkers all bought AM and SynMax Rams and put in 2 256RAMs, they work great at first but a few RAMS seem to have problem when running high graphic stuff. Well I guess it's cuz we run like 3Dmax and PS and all those graphic softwares since we are all designers. But if you are doing normal stuff, I guess it's okay. Otherwise there would be no business for those good quality RAMS. It's just my opinion.

The RAM ain't all that bad... but ain't too good either...
I've used lot of these and they won't run @ CAS2 but they overclock ok...
Also if you're using Asus boards you have to set the VIO jumper to 3.35 volts. Ones that don't have VIO jumper might not work with this RAM. I have no idea how it will run on KT7...

But a word of advice... Getting ones that can do CAS 2 is definitely worth it!!!!

I heard from someone who said that if this RAM was put into a BX motherboard, it would only register as 128 MB RAM being in the system, and not the full 256 MB. So you could use it, why would you want to pay more and get less when you can get 128 MB RAM cheaper and better elsewhere???

I ordered this ram from mcglen aka accessmicro and its not too bad. I have it running in a W2K KT7 non raid version at 133 cas3 fast (turbo mode causes reboots) and all other options such as 4way interweaving turned on. Sisoft Sandra scores of 469/550, not quite as fast as when I had cas2 enabled but there is no real world performance increase. Q3 demo scores have gone up with 256cas3 vs 128cas2. Works best when installed in the first(far left dimm) For less than $100, I think it was well worth it.
