Great Point Unclemo

Lifetime warranty, and not machine/chipset specific, so we can use it in the future with (I'm hoping to use it with a P4), and purchasing from buy.com is a good choice as well.

I may very well go with that Unclemo

cheers

Price seems to be going down by the hour. Its at $101.99 now, and I just ordered one for my Asus A7V. Just one question, would it be better to keep my old memory(128MB stick of PC100) to have 384MB running at 100mhz? or should I remove my old one and just go with 256MB going at 133mhz?

My order through jcshopper was cancelled due to their error. They said my credit card was expired. I don't see how they could possibly use that excuse since we carry the card around in our wallet with us. We will know almost instantly that they're lieing.

This SyncMax stuff has been going around for at least a month. I'm assuming that people are so ashamed they bought this ram for more money a couple weeks ago they don't want to post. If you haven't received your order post that too. Please post!

incompatibility issues & not working up to their specifications are the two main problems i have encountered w/ generic ram. not all of them are like this, but a majority are, making it worth it to just spend the extra bucks to assure you'll get what you need.

edit - also, if you read the posts on here, you'll notice that alot of folks who buy name brand ram (kingston, mushkin) usually end up getting more than their money's worth as they are able to run it up to speeds of 2-2-2 133+ when its only specified as 3-3-3.

I think we should all have a discussion about this, to help one another decide

For the people who actually have this ram, can you overclock your cpu and is your system stable? Can you o/c the ram itself? Many of us push our system in various ways, and we're always hearing how generic ram is crap and isn't good for o/c, but many people have reported using generics, and perhaps even this particular ram, and o/c without problems.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,

From Spindler's post I am making a statement, correct me if wrong.

If your mother board is on the compatibility page and you don't need the ram to work at the specified mhz.(i.e. ordering 133mhz. if you have 100 in your machine so it doesn't need to run at 133) than you are fine with this generic ram.

Of course this would be for the majority of problems, not a hole in the ram or it arriving in eight pieces each 32mb(assembly directions not included) i'm joking if you're freaking out now.

I ordered mine Saturday... They still haven't shipped it yet. I might just cancel it and get some Micron from TCWO. More expensive but it will work in any board.

What on earth is going on ?

Anyone who has ordered this ram and is using it, please tell us about it. Can you o/c your cpu with it or does it choke?
