Beware of refurbished monitors from places like Dell and Gateway. I bought this exact same model a couple years ago refurbed (not from this company) and it died after about 4 months. I tried contacting Gateway and getting them to fix it. I couldn't even pay them to fix it (no use of warranty). Basically, Gateway (and Dell I know too does this) won't even talk to you, let alone fix it, unless you bought something directly from them and have an order number, customer number, etc. It costs me a little under $200 in shipping/parts/labor to fix my monitor. I'll never buy a monitor again unless it has a warranty with it. These things cost too much to ship back and forth and get worked on. Bottom line. That's my take on the situation. So whoever's buying a monitor, I only suggest to buy new with a nice manufacturer's warranty.
