The 25th Amendment, proposed by Congress and ratified by the states in the aftermath of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, provides the procedures for replacing the president or vice president in the event of death, removal, resignation, or incapacitation. The Watergate scandal of the 1970s saw the application of these procedures, first when Gerald Ford replaced Spiro Agnew as vice president, then when he replaced Richard Nixon as president, and then when Nelson Rockefeller filled the resulting vacancy to become the vice president...

Does "incapacitation" also include mental incapacity? We have a POTUS who has called himself the "Chosen one", the King of Israel, sought to purchase a major territory of another sovereign nation, called it a "nasty" response when they said it was "absurd" and actually called off a visit to that country out of pure pettiness. This aside from the numerous other deranged utterances made over the years. So.. at what point can the 25th be invoked? Does it only apply to physical capacity?

It would.
But it would need to be invoked under Section 4.
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide
Section 3 will never happen under current circumstances.
Section 2 won't happen until 4 does.
Section 1 also unlikely.

Back to Section 4. Very unlikely that the VP nor a majority of principal officers. What is other such body that Congress may by law provide? Congress itself? It's split,, so unlikely. Also will probably need 2/3 majority in both houses in any event, also unlikely.

The Amendment does NOT require the classical definition of insane or stupid. According to the linked copy of the 25th Amendment.

We bought Alaska from Russia, the mid West of North America in the Louisiana Purchase from France, Texas was annexed from Mexico in 1845, bought Utah, New mexico, California and parts of Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona from Mexico for 15M, bought Manhattan in NY.
Buying land is not an issue. I think getting Greenland may not be such a bad idea strategically.
His cancelling his visit to Greenland was just another childish reaction he is known for, not crazy.
There is more than enough silly things Mr. Trump has said that makes me wonder,
Buffoon yes, crazy no.
Best thing to do is if you do not like him, vote him out.
Trying to impeach him or other shenanigans to remove him from office will just backfire.

You're bringing up stuff that happened 150+ years ago, when was the last time another country purchased that much land from another? I can't think of anything even from last century!

So what, what does time have to do with it? 2+2 was 4 back then and still is 4 today.
If we were to buy Greenland, Mr.Jones will still own his house and land.
He would just become a US citizen.
Maybe the government owned land, Their federal lands would transfer to the US government.

Last century Israel was formed in the middle East, that was one.
Another one. the U.S. chose the name "Virgin Islands" when it took formal possession of the Danish West Indies on March 31, 1917. The U.S. bought the islands from Denmark
for $25 million. The island chain consists of St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John, and about 50 other small islands, most of which are uninhabited

One thing to keep in mind. If they were to remove Mr.Trump from office for any reason.
POTUS Mike Pence. I would be OK with that myself.

Him wanting to buy Greenland is not the problem, him causing a diplomatic incident because they said no and hurt his feelings is the problem.

While Mike Pence is immoral and a religious nut he’s not (to the best of my knowledge) corrupt, diagnosably mentally ill, or possibly compromised by a hostile foreign power. I’d take him in a second.

Narcissism is recognized as a personality disorder, a form of mental illness. Trump has it bad.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they're not given the special favors or admiration they believe they deserve. They may find their relationships unfulfilling, and others may not enjoy being around them...

Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and the severity of symptoms vary. People with the disorder can:
  • Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance
  • Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration
  • Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
  • Exaggerate achievements and talents
  • Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
  • Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people
  • Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior
  • Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
  • Take advantage of others to get what they want
  • Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
  • Be envious of others and believe others envy them
  • Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious
  • Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office

If you built a person in a lab to personify narcissistic personality disorder you could not do better than the current president.

People think this disorder is just someone being vain and silly too. It is not, it is dangerous, especially in people in positions of power. As Trump fares worse and worse he will lash out even more insanely in an attempt to compensate.

Yep. You're point was argued by concerned psychologists, 18000 of whom who signed an agreement early in Trumps presidency that he poses a grave threat to the country. I recall reading this a few years ago but forgot about it till now.

Other psychologists describe Trumps condition as follows:
“Textbook narcissistic personality disorder,” echoed clinical psychologist Ben Michaelis. “He’s so classic that I’m archiving video clips of him to use in workshops because there’s no better example of his characteristics,” said clinical psychologist George Simon, who conducts lectures and seminars on manipulative behavior. […] “Remarkably narcissistic,” said developmental psychologist Howard Gardner, a professor at Harvard Graduate School of Education.

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, but this thread will do!

https://www.axios.com/trump-nuclear-bombs-hurricanes-97231f38-2394-4120-a3fa-8c9cf0e3f51c.html

Trump suggested nuking hurricanes to stop them from hitting U.S.

President Trump has suggested multiple times to senior Homeland Security and national security officials that they explore using nuclear bombs to stop hurricanes from hitting the United States, according to sources who have heard the president's private remarks and been briefed on a National Security Council memorandum that recorded those comments.

During one hurricane briefing at the White House, Trump said, "I got it. I got it. Why don't we nuke them?" according to one source who was there. "They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?" the source added, paraphrasing the president's remarks.

Asked how the briefer reacted, the source recalled he said something to the effect of, "Sir, we'll look into that."
Trump replied by asking incredulously how many hurricanes the U.S. could handle and reiterating his suggestion that the government intervene before they make landfall.
The briefer "was knocked back on his heels," the source in the room added. "You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting. People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, 'What the f---? What do we do with this?'"
