So because you found 26 companies that exhibit this behavior, it now applies to all people who are wealthy?

Logic fail?

Logic fail is on your part.

You believe it's only 26 companies?

Um no - the logic is solid. Extrapolate the meaning from it. You found a few cases (Largely not the majority) and you have just applied it to the whole.

Honestly, neither of us have the resources or information to claim that a super majority of wealthy people do/don't pay enough taxes. If you do, I'm sure we would all love to debate it.

Also, that said, these companies have not been cited by the IRS or anyone else for tax evasion or fraud on a corporate/personal level. They haven't done anything wrong. Fix the loopholes and then assess what a majority of America believes the tax rates should be.

You think just jealousy eh?

Yes, for you are so irrational you say you would be happy if they all left. If they did, the trillions they pay in taxes and the billions they give to charity would leave with them, but you do not care.

That level of insanity is either caused by idiocy, hatred, or jealosy - and the hatred would be founded on jealosy.

They removed their full report, no one can see what is in it to know what they are ignoring.

EDIT: But if we read your link:

You are, apparently, supposed to ignore the tens of thousands of employees laid off in recent years as the company turns away from landline services, and the steady decline in overall network investment made at the company -- specifically on the wireline side.

Who in their right mind would invest money in a dying technology? Land line subscriptions have been falling steadily and rapidly for years. Only an idiot would invest money in it.

Democrats had 2 years of control over the House, Senate, and Presidency and not one bill came up to cut loopholes.

Cutting out loopholes means cutting a politician's own income.

As to some one statement about paying the CEO more than Federal taxes; those companies also are paying other taxes that are deducted from the Federal bill. Look at the tax bill that they owed, not what was paid.

My little company pays the CEO and CFO more than is paid on Federal taxes. Does that make me evil?

Everyone just loves to bitch about loopholes but nobody wants to cut any of them. Also keep in mind that if a company doesn't pay any income tax on profits, those profits are paid to employees and stock holders that then pay taxes on that money. It gets taxed one way or another, but it sure makes for good Political talking points.

Corporations lose money. Those losses result in carrybacks and carryforwards. Those allowances can cause a profitable company to pay no taxes.

Since individuals don't commonly have negative income (paying your employer) there is no common comparison.
