This guy has some how accumulated 1.1 million brand new shrink wrapped Atari games. He is an overstock seller, and he started with 2.3 million. He is trying to get rid of the last bunch. He is selling them for $2/each, or .80/each for orders more then a 1000 units.

Here's a link to a news articile about him:

And here's the link to his site where you can order the games:

Hope everybody likes

I've ordered from this guy. Quality operation. He even emails you to tell you when the order ships, and asks where you got his address. I think he writes thank you emails to whoever referred you.

This story about 1.1Million Atari Cartridges was posted over on Slashdot earlier. Nice little read about a salvage dealer who bought more than he thought he could sell. It sounded like you had to purchase a set of 60/someodd cartridges (2 of each) at ~$2/pop to place an order. But, I may have misread or the article may be inaccurate.

I don't know why you'd want them, they may have some collector value, but, we're talking Atari 2600 here. If you want to play the games just download 'em and play them on an emulator. You probably own the originals so you don't even have to worry about the licensing police coming to get you.

Guess a lot of you just aren't into vintage gaming. For me, my Atari 2600 and TurboDuo are my favorite consoles. I still have both in playable condition, and do play games. My 2600 library is about 50 games, and I have about 35 Duo games. There are lots of people who still play these games. That is why this guy is able to sell these cartridges.

FWIW: I bought some of the 2600/7800 games from Oshea a few years ago and have one caveat for the 'collector': While they are new and shrinkwrapped, they are almost all in black & white generic boxes. They appear to be 'value' re-releases and are made in China.

They are quite legit though and an interesting find.

"Wow, E-mails you when your order is shipped"? Sounds like you never ordered from say Staples, Outpost, Buy.com and others? It's a must to E-mail a confirmation and shipping info. And I think you're confusing "Thank-you" notes with spam.

I wish I had a killfile for jerks like VBboy. Seems every post I've read from him has hit me as obnoxious and sounding very much like a spoiled 11 year old. Staples, outpost, etc. all have an automated email for orders being sent. The guy who runs OShea personally emails you. Much different. But I guess little pricks like you don't care about service and personal attention. Bah!

His post struck me that way too. I understood what you meant, when you said you get an e-mail, you actually get a personalized e-mail from them. I don't understand why he decided to add to this thread.

More on topic, I have both consoles too from the good 'ole days. I haven't played in ages, but this is still a smokin' deal as far as I'm concerned. The first great flight sim (F-14 for the 7800) - I'll still never forget that experience.

Hahah....yeah, I agree w/you there (the Man, Boy thing).

My favorite game for the 2600/7800 was Pitfall. I played that for hours! swinging on those ropes, and jumping over those fires!

He didn't so much add as subtract. (Of course, this post doesn't do much either way--dead weight )

BTW, if your really into Atari 2600 games, there is a playstation CD that has most of them on one cd. They play perfect on playstation. It brings back old memories.
