i will be keeping both freesync and gsync turned off.. still a nice monitor it looks like either way.
look,
g-sync only works with NVIDIA cards, amd freesync only with AMD cards
amd freesync is basically cheap, they give it out like candy to monitors just to get the #1 choice for ppl to buy it, while g-sync is expensive module installed into a monitor and makes it more expensive for a same model to buy, but they say the quality is much better, but research that and don't quote me ;D
I have a AOC g2460pf amd freesync and tried with AMD card that i had to send back cuz i had issues with, a lot of issues, many have with that monitor, altho with nvidia card which can not use the amd freesync it works fine, AMD card with freesync on or off I had problems, I will send the monitor to service since it's under warranty, going to buy in a week a gsync monitor + nvidia 1060 tho, ye it's pricy to go for g-sync, but 144Hz w/o anything is still fine
j
ust saying, b4 u go for freesync + AMD do research on the model, google the model + words like "issues" "flicker" "problem" etc I regret I didnt do that with the AOC one.
It works just fine with Nvidia card tho but no use of freesync that way which was my goal, if that even makes anything better since w/o it's already amazing at 144Hz
