The church really is cranking up their customer retention policies nowadays.

I small a Jesus mega-park coming up soon.

Any place that showcases scientific evidence behind creation is definitely a great idea. We need more of these. Too bad I no longer live in the Cincinnati area. I'd take my daughter to this.

:music:
down the tracks
beautiful McMansions on a hill
that overlook a highway
with riverboat casinos and you still
have yet to see a soul
jesusland......
town to town
broadcast to each house
they drop your name
but no one knows your face
billboards quoting things you'd never say
you hang your head and pray
for jesusland
:music:

This was one of my favorite quotes from the article:

"I think people will enjoy ... being able to see a different side from what some scientific findings have shown,"

The opening show features an animatronic young woman struggling with her belief in God, while two angels that she can't see are on the screen behind her. Ham describes it as the only part of the museum that is "lighthearted" and "edgy."

I was fine with the museum idea up until I read this. Instead of giving visitors a more scientific view, they added an introductory guilt tactic. :|

Good for them. It's about time someone stood up to the ridicule and elitism of modern scientific theory.

No, wait, this is a great idea. Just think, as time goes on, the ideas exhibited in this museum will appear more and more ridiculous. Until the entire museum is just a big joke to everyone. I like that, it's like timestamping bad ideas so we can go back and check with them later.

Just imagine if there was an ancient museum dedicated to telling people gravity doesn't exist or the world is flat. How awesome would that be at this point?!

There also will be an exhibit suggesting that belief in evolution is the root of most of modern society's evils. It shows models of children leaving a church where the minister believes in evolution. Soon the girl is on the phone to Planned Parenthood, while the boy cruises the Internet for pornography sites.

That sounds like an episode of Morel Orel.

"No one else has ever built a place where you can experience biblical history and merge it with the science," he said.

Merging the Bible with science is quite possible. The person who takes it as being literal has no chance at all.

seems like a more "christian" thing to do would be to feed the homeless, give them job training, help them get back on their feet.
seems like you could convert more people to Christianity and do more good in the world that way.

i guess they're just better christians than me.

How in the world did these crazies get that amount of money? WHERE IS IT COMING FROM?!
I swear to god, I'm going to give myself a heart attack if this fundamentalism movement keeps up. It hurts my head to think about how they can even consider this crap to be true.

Are we still the center of the solar system, or have we moved past that, yet?

You're referring to something that has evolved more than people ever have, ie 'modern scientific theory.'

I could be wrong, but according to my ex-religion, I think we believe that the dinosaur bones came from other planets that God pulled materials from when he created the Earth.
