28 Weeks Later

Just saw 28 Weeks Later. I was excited about it since the first one was unreal but I didn't hold expectations for it being better then the first one. I thought it was amazing though.

I definitely don't think it beats the first (it is only like an hour and a half after all) but it was a good action/zombie movie.

I AM SO FREAKING SCARED now.

What did you all think?

I saw this last night. The subway scene was some pretty damn scary stuff.

The helicopter scene was freaking great!

It was a good movie. I hate how it leaves the opening for a 3rd installment. But when it comes out I'll be in the theatres for that one too!

I didnt think 28 days was all that great. Another B movie to me. Lotta people liked it apparently though. I will probably see 28 weeks on DVD someday and I hope it is better than 28 days was.

I dont see whats special about 28 days later... Its just like resident evil but without the characters/cheesiness

Wow I just got back from this movie. It was freaking AWESOME. I really REALLY enjoyed it. It had a lot of in your face scenes and was a very intense movie that kept me somewhat pushing myself back into my seat cause it's so in your face.

I did have a few minor complaints though ...


*** SPOILERS UNTIL END OF MY POST ***

1. I thought it was kind of dumb that the dad was kind of stalking his kids the whole time. It took away from the whole feeling that the infected just killed to feed and just let out their rage.
2. I thought it was also kind of out of place when the father pushed the moms eye balls in. That is far from what they had shown in the past of the infected just ripping people apart to feast on them.
3. When they are walking down into the subway, and the kids fell down the stairs, how all of a sudden they were so far apart that they couldn't even hear eachother screaming at the top of their lungs. It just kind of ruined that moment.
4. Previews didn't show any new horror movies!!! :|

However I really REALLY enjoyed it! The movie pissed me off because of how the people were killing EVERYONE even after it was clearly obvious who was infected and who wasnt. Also I had completely forgotten that the mom was "immune" in a sense when the boy got bitten and I thought he was going to turn around and kill his sister, but when they showed his eye it all clicked.

The movie really conveyed a lot of emotion as well even though there were only a few characters you really cared about.

Great movie, if you liked the first one, you will like this definitely.

I didn't like it as much as the first one, although on the whole it was a good movie. I disliked the ending.

Awesome movie! Better than the first! I love the ending because you get to see the next area that gets it!v

Best Zombie movie ever. Even better than Night of the Living Dead old version and color version!

Saw it over the weekend and I thought it was weak and here are the reasons:

SPOILERS:

1. Why they let the humans back in the city while the whole city still not clean, ie, dead bodies still around.

2. The mom lays there by herself, no guard outside the door whatsoever so the dad can sneak inside and then it becomes a big mess.

3. The military must be the dumbest thing. Send the humans down the subway after the outbreak, lock them up and then shot to kill everyone. No plan, no backup, no leadership, nothing.

4. The ending is kinda stupid, it opens the door for another sequel, 28 years anyone?

Its a movie. Deal with it.

This movie is better than the first. Its the best zombie film ever to come out!

I forget where I heard it, but there was talk of a television series. Haven't seen 28 Weeks yet, but 28 days was a good movie (it was NOT a zombie movie though, if this one has turned into that I'll be dissapointed) but I don't know if the "world" it created can support a television series.

It's a Danny Boyle movie so you can't sit there and nitpick the details, but the writing was only mediocre at best. Luckily, his directing was in fine form so the movie was still hugely entertaining albeit without anything original or creative. When the outbreak first began, I sat there wondering "how does an entire US military force not have explosives or incendiary devices..."

Those kids kept me from really enjoying the movie. I just hated their characters and I was sitting there hoping they would die.

Its a movie. The storyline was excellent. Best storyline of any zombie movie! Even better than Night of the Living Dead storyline.

Night of the Living Dead old version and new color version were boring compared to 28 weeks later!

when the brother and sister get separated during containment, then the brother is out in the open in all the chaos, and then happens to reunite with his sister... how convenient!

also, in this one they said the virus couldnt hop species, but didnt it start by an infected chimp biting a human?

well regardless - it rocked!

I bet next one will be 28 months later, the europe, africa, and asia will be infested

It was okay. Not as scary and cool as the original. Didn't like the plot holes and contrivances that they used to carry the story forward. Characters were forgettable and poorly portrayed.

Oh well, another semi-good zombie movie.
