put the pump higher to like 5 and see what happens.
Do you feel air coming in and out of the rads?
Is the air warm?
Did you forget to unpeak the clear sticker under the waterblock?
Did you use the proper inlet and outlet on the waterblock? (waterblock has a proper inlet and proper outlet)

It could also be that coretemp your using needs an update for TR2.

I think its the pump. I will try it later. Yes, I got the clear cover off, and the temp is Ryzen master. And yes the inlet is the right one.

OK< not positive, but I think the pump is at 5. Water was down one inch overnight, so filled to the top. Running 1.3vcore, 3950 mhz and 80c.

Update, its got to 85c and was throttling, so I put it down to 1.2vcore and 3800 for 80c.

I did NOT say PULLING 500W.
I said 500W INTO the CPU!
A system that pulls 500W (total) is very low power.
I build systems that pull over 3000W that run on three phase power.

If a CPU is drawing 500W from the socket, you will need to design a cooling system that can remove 500W period.

I needed to chime in.
CPU does NOT pull 500W. It is your system that is pulling 500W
You are aware that 500W = CPU, GPU, HD, RAM, Fans, MB, etc?

Your 7890XE is pulling 550W does NOT mean the CPU is drawing 550W. It may be close (~400W) when overclocked to the max, but when you are claiming 550W off the socket, it does not mean the CPU is drawing that much

EDIT: Do you mean CPU "Socket", I think AIgo and I am thinking off the wall "Socket"

Not this again.
If the CPU alone pulls 550 W, as has been explicitly stated, then yes, the CPU alone does pull 550 W.
And everything else (VRM losses, RGB LEDs...) goes on top of that.

OK, the pump died and I got an RMA. The next build will have the same radiator (360x120x60 I think) and a 360x120x25 in a new case with lots of room. Going for 4 ghz on a 2990wx this time ! The old 2990wx is relagated to stock speed on an ASUS gaming X399. Build will start in about a week, waiting for parts. Oh, and a new heatkiller IV all-copper water block.

OMG, I got the case today. I can't even lift the box, just drag it.... this 900 case is humongous ! It must be able to handle anything !

the tower 900?
Is there no sides in the chambers to mount the res?
You could possibly use double sided mounting tape.

The back panel is all about the motherboard. Then there is a little place about the power supply but nothing for a vertically mounted reservoir. So I am going to make a vertical piece of metal. Next week. I will do pictures.

Oh, and the free radiator I got was a 420x25, so I had to jerry-rig my fans. The 360x60x120 I had a problem with the screws. but again, forced it to work,
So I will have a 420/140 rad, a 360x120x60 rad and 8 fans. And a new pump. No reason I can't keep this thing cool this time.

forget to mention, until you go with aluminum additives, any waterblock you purchase from a reputable manufacture goes to be copper generally with nickle plating. On EK's web page, the nickle is refering to the coloration/finish of the block. If it says nickle, it's nickle plated copper.
I am not sure what you are trying to tell me. My CPU clock is solid copper, my radiators are solid copper. It is possible that I got fittings with nickle plate. What should I do about it if I did ? Not sure about the pump either, but it looks like its stainless and plastic.

OK< A little update. The 2990wx I got for $1200 had the cpu carrier on backwards(well upside down). Once I figured that out, the open box motherboard I got was missing the M.2 mounting hardware. I had to "borrow" 2 short M.2 spacers to get the M.2 card mounted. After that, it was a breeze... Installing OS on 2990wx number 2. The water cooling for number one is not ready yet, still missing some parts.

small update. The system is now running in a temporary stage. With a GTX 2060 running F@H@100% (linux) and 62 threads of WCG, its only taking 300 watts out of the wall ! @ stock except memory@3066. I am impressed. And running 60c on the threadripper HSF !@100% load.

hows the system now mark after a couple of days you should be at completed stage for bleeding / leak testing.
The new pump working great and how do you like the case?

Do you have any pictures of the completed project?
Tower 900 builds are fun to look at.

Not done yet. My 90 degree bends just came today, and I have custom mounting that I am working on for the rsovoir. I will reply back when I get somewhere. Busy with doctor appts also. Its hard being old and sick and having cancer....

Small update. It took me a day or two to mount the rads and fans, trips to the hardware store, etc.. for proper screws. The radiator took me 2 days to create the mounting bracket, drill holes, etc.. Here are the work in progress pics,, 2 radiators.

Here are the 2 rads, only one fitting so far:

And the reservoir/pump

Did you get that res used? Glass looks stained. Is there something inside the fittings?

Well, that res worked for 8 months, until the pump died from being off balance, I am sure once I rinse it out, and reload, it will be fine.
