Anyone ever dealt with them before? I hear lots of praises to the guy who runs it. I ordered a case fan and a laser cut grill last week, and it still hasn't shipped yet, it seems like its taking way too long. I know they get great reviews on resellerratings.com. If you've ordered from 2cooltek before, lemme know how your experience was.

2 good experiences with them. You should inquire if you haven't received correspondence. Any indication of the item being backordered?

I've ordered from 2Cooltek half a dozen times, and only once did it take a while for my order to ship. He never replied to my emails, but I did get my stuff about 4-5 days later than I expected. Other than that, my experiences with his shop have been fantastic.

Ian is the owner of 2cooltek in Florida. I have been ordering from him for years. He was in the Air Force when he started running his business.

Really a knowledgeable guy, with good prices and you get your packages really quick.

I had problems with him a couple years ago, but nothing current. Of course, once I have problems I don't go back.

2cooltek has been around for over 4 years I know, because I've been a repeat customer for at least that long To date, i've probably made 10+ purchases from them, both for personal and office use. I was quite surprised to learn that someone has never heard of them, let alone asking if they are reputable or not

I'm a regular customer and have never had a problem. Ian's great to work with.

Just got a shipment from them yesterday. Been dealing with them for years. Never a problem. He was also an AT member "2Cool" once upon a time. Don't know if he still posts.

I got the stuff today, I guess they just didn't send a ship notification to me. Shipping was rather fast now that I think about it.

2CoolTek is great in my book.

Costs me the same $0.37 cents to mail a letter clear across the US to Florida as it does you your next door neighbor.

Nah, I take my business elsewhere if they don't ship via USPS unless the have free or discounted 2nd day air Fexex/UPS. I mean come on, USPS does pickup services just like the other two. But most companies say nope. They have to go to a post office which is not true.
You ever order movies or books from Amazon? They ship them out via USPS and they do not go to the post office. Nope. they have the post office go to them. Same is true for for other companies such as BMG, Columbia house... etc.. etc..

USPS has a flat rate for pick-up services. $10. It does not matter if you mail one peice, or one million peices. It will still cost $10. Any company that is too brain dead to realize this, I just move on. Newegg, MWave, Staples, Fry's, CompUSA, so on and so fourth missed out on over $29,000 worth of business from me this last year alone because they wont mail anything when I buy the parts to build computers for people. Now if you think about it, with that kind of money to be made, is it too much trouble to mail something?

Damn... I am too tired to edit that last post of mine for proper spelling and grammer. G-night folks, I have been up for 37 hours and the bed is calling my name.

I had a couple of good transactions and one very bad one.

The bad one was, I emailed him looking for a CPU HS/F that was below a certain height since I can't fit anything taller than ~55mm. I bought a HS/F that should have fit, but the dimensions that were listed were for the heatsink without a fan, so it was a no-go. I email him asking for a return. Then I emailed him again. And again. Finally got a reply, he told me to send it back and he would credit my CC once he received the heatsink back. 2 weeks later and no credit on my CC. A month, no credit. Numerous emails and a couple of phone calls and I was still unable to get ahold of him. In the end, it was a lot of work, certainly more than the $22 credit I was waiting for, so I just told myself that I would never do business with him again....and I haven't. Since then, I'm sure that I've spent a couple of hundred bucks on heatsinks, fans, cables, etc.

Buyer beware. If you've had good deals with him, great. I have too. But I also have reason to no longer give him my business.

Here's the problem that I had, which also was regarding a return. I ordered an HSF from him to be shipped Priority Mail, as it was a quick need. It arrived with a fan that didn't work, so I emailed him and he asked me to send it back. I sent it back Priority Mail to the return address listed on the box. After two weeks, no mention of it arriving so I emailed him. Several days later he got back to me saying that it didn't arrive. I countered that I had confirmed delivery and he asked me where I sent it. After I told him, he said that he hardly ever checked that mailbox, even though it is his return address box! The next day he told me that he had the package and that he would send a new one out. He did...standard First Class mail going from Florida to Oregon. :| I spent the money TWICE to use Priority Mail, waited over two weeks for him to check his mail, only to have him send it that way.

Sorry, that steamed me. Never again, no matter how good of an experience others have had.

yeah Ive had good experiences with all my purchases there but lately I think his selection has been pretty weak so I've taken my business elsewhere. His site is also a chore to navigate.

I've dealt with him about 7 or 8 times. Tremendous service, answers questions fast, and reasonable shipping. No need to look elsewhere.

FedEX and UPS also automatically insure packages up to $100 for no extra cost. USPS does not. I suppose for some large business this is more valuable than lower fees for non-insured mail.
