Special Announcement: RickD has just completed the Ars Benchmark WU in record time: 2:06

Hrm, you're making me wanna tweak my P4 2.4 now That hit 2:01 for a WU, and a few more within a couple of minutes of that

My Queue's details

Quickest is 2:01, slowest (0.031 AR) is 3:06 on Page 6

And this is without ANY tweaking at all...i think i can do better than that I'll try and give u a run for your money, Mr Smokie

Congrats on that record WU time there Greg. Makes my 3:30 P4-1.6a @ 2200 seem slow.

The really good news is "Smoke #6" didn't melt overnight.

I can still tweak a little more out of this system (but not much ... it is running at an equivalent CPU speed of 3.554GHz) and I can't wait to see what it will do on a really "sweet" WU. :Q

WOW!!!!!!! I am trying to tweak with mine a little bit to get below the 3 hour mark on a constistant basis, but that is the machine that has my queue and the only internet connection available. After the MTR I will probably switch the queue to another system so I can really tweak with mine. I know that there is something I am overlooking because I was getting better WU times with my 2 sticks of crucial 2100 than I am with my 1 stick of corsair 3200!

MoFunk, you wouldn't happen to have an NForce chipset, would you? Dual channel DDR and all that?

Just a guess since I've never had one and can't afford one.

2003 Jan 06 22:24 21.983,8.64 7.173 P530 3:14

Mine's done a few in 1 second !!!!!!

Seriously though, 2.50 is the best so far, but that's on a dual system with both CPUs crunching Seti & UD.

If only it would take Prestonias.....

No I have an Epox 8K3A+ with a Via chipset. I am thinking it may be a BIOS or configuration issue. The wierd thing is that when I used Sandra to run a bench on it, it showed that I had 256 in the first bank and 256 in the next. I have 1 stick of 512. Really wierd. But I hate to mess with it too much right now because of the MTR.

Thanks, Sean

Rick came so close with his 2400+ XP (and he's got another version in the works) but this new P4 system is unbelieveable. The surprising part is the Gigabyte board is not the one I expected to be the fastest. A new PS may be the trick to get the Abit IT7-MAX2 Ver. 2.0 up where it should fly.

I need to give Rick a lot of credit for reaching this point. He has gotten to be a really good overclocker and together we are learning alot. This P4 chip I have is something "special".

Hellburner, that Itanium chip costs between $2758 - $2831 so I don't think any of my systems are going to come close to that.
