Hi all. How do you benchmark using WU's? Where do find all your times? I just started this a few days ago and would like to see how I'm doing.

Here's the place where you can read about the Ars Technica WU Benchmark though I have to admit it looks like it's not being updated on a regular basis anymore.

Hey, just post some of your best times and describe your system. Someone will probably have a system like yours and tell you how he's doing.

BTW, I blew up my P4 system trying to get the top spot for a P4. I've been working to get it back together all afternoon and evening. Thus the price of pushing the envelope but I'm not going to stop.

Good luck. Records are only made to be broken.

BTW, it looks like you have the same motherboard that I'm running. Rick's Epok can put out higher vCore voltages and thereby (along with a few other goodies) his computer can run away from ours. :Q

There is a MOD you(we) can do to get both the vCore and Dimm voltages higher if you feel like getting the old soldering gun out.

Are you running the 1002.001 beta? Vcore up to 1.85 V and Vdimm up to 2.7. If your not running it, PM me, I'll send it to ya (note the later Beta's supposedly don't unlock the TBreds).

I didn't have to push the Vdimm at all to do 3 2 2 2T on the Corsair PC3200.
Had Vcore at 1.75 V to run 200MHzx11.5. I ran prime95 all night, rock solid. Memtest-86 looked good too. Only prob was that the south bridge started to get hot. I lost sound when running that high.

BTW, CPU was running an even 40 Deg C at those speeds/voltage. I'm sure this CPU will go higher. So I'm looking to put a passive heat sink on the south bridge. I think that will let me get back up to 2.3GHz and beyond. Man I can't believe this CPU only cost $97.

I've entered my old benchmark to that site ,I'm down there at a lowely 56 just below Tuffguy
(btw they've entered the OS & CPU type wrong)

Though I haven't run the TLC WU on my current config I know atm it would do it in about 3hrs 18mins.I'm gonna wait until I've unlocked this CPU & crank it upto at least 1.75GHz ,will be good for about 3hrs 6mins then................still w-a-y behind RickD though

My Deluxe board came with the "1001g" BIOS which made it impossible for me to use the unlocked chip. I flashed back to the "1001c" and had no problem trying all of the different clock speeds. It also gave me the 1.85 vCore capability. Thanks for the offer.

I may be moving my A7N8X Deluxe out and getting the Epok 8rda- (no need for all the frills of the +). I'll be working on that next week.

BTW, if you feel like breaking out the old soldering gun you can get the A7N8X vCore up to as high as you want it. Check out the following link.

Saw that link... but right now I have no need to up the voltage. I hope that by the time I do there will be a bios mod to do it

Was just running my XP2100+ at 200MHz x 12. It passes memtest-86 and ran primes for a couple hours without error. All that at 1.75V

Prob is the sound cuts out... was reading a bit more on nForcerHQ.com... seems the North Bridge needs more cooling (as well as the south). I'm gonna buy a Vantec Iceberg kit and replace the stock heatsink on the North bridge with a fan, and put the small heatsink on the south... things will be golden then. People are reporting hitting 211Mhz with better cooling on the North bridge :Q
