It has value in the residential energy auditing market, if it's accurate. At the very least it becomes a sales tool for convincing a homeowner that their home really does leak a lot of energy.

What resolution?
They and Fluke sell really cheap versions now, in the couple hundred dollar range... but resolution absolutely sucks (16x16), so it's damn near worthless.
The resolution on that picture looks really good.

The resolution of consumer grade units isn't anywhere the commercial grade. Even the commercial grade pales to military grade.

I own the seek thermal version for iphone (better resolution that FLIR) and it's freaking awesome. Already found a bunch of weak spots in my insulation.

I'd love to see a few images, can they be emailed? I've been debating the Seek unit myself but I await the FLIR to get a better comparison before buying.

To me the FLIR images look better, the SEEK seems grainy.

I never stated it didn't have better resolution, I said the images LOOK better. FLIR images don't look as grainy to me, but it's not a fair comparison since I haven't seen an actual FLIR ONE image yet.
