Is this natural selection---or someone playing with genetics---how big will they grow in the near future?
Its a normal phenomenon of NS that individ species grow larger as a whole over time. This can be seen in horse, elephant, dinosaur (and even human) evolution as an example. This is not an unbreakable rule, but unless there is pressure for smaller size, species tend to grow bigger, bigger individuals are more capable of dominating their environment and "bullying" smaller individuals.
However such evolution over such a short timeframe is unusual, one would have to know what is the max "normal" size of the species, and whether these hogs are growing bigger bc of a more productive environment (ie better/more food) or is it really a genotypic shift.
