2x256mb crucial pc2100 ecc registered with new asus a7n8x deluxe. compatible??

I'm thinking of buying the new Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard but I have heard that Asus and Crucial ram or not a good mix especially ecc registered ram. Is this true? Will I have a compability issue with this setup? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thx!!

According my manual, the board can`t handle ecc dimms

Not important. The one point is that nForce doesn't handle Registered DIMMs. The extra chip on ECC DIMMs would just be ignored, but Registered requires the chipset to do things differently, and the nForce can't do that.
