<< Here's what I want to do:
1) Register a domain for a simple family website.
2) It must include at least 3 POP3 e-mail accounts.
... GoDaddy which would cost me $8.95/year (www domain registration) plus $14.95/year (5 POP3 e-mail accounts with 3MB limits) or StarGateInc.com for only $8.85 but only 1 e-mail account.

Me and about 630,000 other @mediaone.net email addresses have to switch to @attbi.com (and maybe to @comcast.net, if that deal goes through?). So, I've been looking for something similar and have asked Gary to consider it. My motivation comes in search of an inexpensive way to establish a "permanent" email address - I want something that will act as a "catch all" to forward it to whoever is my ISP.
I'd be very happy and pleased to go with Gary if he is interested / able to concoct something suitable.
If not, so far, it looks like I'll go with GoDaddy for $8.95/yr to register a "personal" domain and their $11/yr 1 email w/3MB. But in my case, I intend to enable their "catch all forwarding" feature, so I can have however many email user *names*@mypersonal.com as I want.
Elsewhere, it has been suggested inventing sam.anantech@mypersonal.com and sam.cnn@mypersonal.com and sam.dslreports@mypersonal.com .... on the fly, so to speak, could be a useful way to spot who is selling your email name and to more easily segregate incoming spam.
As for having 3 email "accounts", in addition, - husband@mypersonal.com (john@mypersonal.com), wife@mypersonal.com (jane@mypersonal.com), kid1@mypersonal.com (johnjr@mypersonal.com), .... could also be used and have all of them forwarded to the family's single ISP email account. Wonder if I can "upgrade" to 3 or 5 email names, if they need to be individually forwarded, in the future?
At least, that's my plan, for the moment.
