Ugh, Kryptonite was way over-played.
I like all their other songs except this one. I also played their 2 CDs that I own (how many are there?) over and over. And I'll freely admit I'm stuck in the 90s.
And that's not a bad thing. For the most part, 90s music was (and still is) so much better than the garbage that is released today. Talent still exists but I miss the glory days of STP, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair, etc.
If you dig 3DD, you should also check out Fuel (first two albums especially), Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin. All three bands have some softer, melodic songs but their heavier tracks tend to be a bit...well, heavier and edgier than 3DD. I was also a big fan of Finch for a while.
Aside from the 90s alt-rock stuff that I still hold a special place in my heart for, I don't care much for a lot of mainstream rock like I used to. I find that those short, catchy songs tend to be the ones that get stale the fastest, and usually aren't really significant in meaning. I also like indie bands that are in the scene because they care about making music more than they care about making it rich.
While you're at it, check out Band of Horses and Silversun Pickups. Great stuff.
