by the way thats alot of rambling.

I didn't follow them. At what part did I show my aggression? (I did, but that was after the fact) If you don't want to read it, just don't read it. Why post about it?

But after reading it, I feel the urge to call shens.

Would it make you feel better if I gave the police report?
Gee, let me validate my story for a random internet guy that knows nothing about me.

Someone beating on the window or door of my car is assaulting my castle, and earns a couple .357 hollowpoints through the door.

Yes. Post the police report, redacted for your privacy. Why not? It will shut up the shens callers.

That seems reasonable.

I'll assume this is true and you haven't left out an important detail. Pursue it.

Nobody likes bad cops, and nobody hates bad cops like a cop. Cooperate in every way and provide them with all the detail you can. Just do not stretch the truth in any way. As you can well imagine this is a touchy issue and anything you do to later discredit your story is not going to be well received.

It's gonna' help immeasurably if one jurisdiction is investigating another.

Otherwise... it'll depend on the tone set from the top in the organisation, whether it's an us v. them bunker mentality or a more progressive and professional one that recognizes that the "serve" in "serve and protect" is a basic part of the mission.

It shouldn't matter. Showing someone your Mister Digit Finger Puppet isn't grounds to beat on your vehicle.

Be safe and do the right thing. File all the papers, make the complaints, and protect your own rights. If it's on paper, and later on they try this stunt again, they'll only get fucked worse. Most likely they will not, but still. This is all ridiculous.

but it is reason to follow you for about 4 miles and pull you over, check your license/ reg/ insurance and search your vehicle. then make you wait for 45 minutes while they call dispatch for a more "thorough" record check. this happened to me when i honked and waved at a bud o mine that was getting a ticket one day. the cop let him go and chased me down for giving him a rude gesture. no biggie, my record was clear.

i did get followed by undercover officers on xmas eve one year tho... i was on my motorcycle, pulled up at the mall to shop but the ATM was busted. drove to 3 ATMs in the mall parking lot, all out of money or closed. across the street, out of cash. down the street to another and i finally got cash to shop (i had no debit card back then, atm only). i went to a different mall that was closer to the bank i ended up at for 2.5 hours, loaded the stuff i bought on the side of my bike and in my lap. stopped in a bank parking lot across the street when a friend waved me over. drove away, noticed a car following me and changing lanes when i did. i pulled into a store, they passed and turned in after that. i left, they were behind me again. i got nervous and had the perfect yellow light to lose em, so i gunned it thru the yellow instead of stopping. as soon as i passed the intersection, i was pulled over by 3... THREE... undercover cars and charged with bank fraud, theft and reckless driving. the sergeant from tempe that was in charge heard the case from the mesa undercovers and my story, then let me go. they sat me there for hours, searched all my stuff and asked me to open my tool bags so they could search them. they even searched the lining of my leather jacket, in case i was hiding other bank cards inside it. the sergeant ended up being a childhood friend of my dads, so that helped im sure.

point is, cops can do some dumb shit when they think they are in the right. i wowuld pursue that one tho, theres no way they can justify that without having proof they flashed a badge to ID themselves as cops.

If you're really being followed by undercover officers for that long, you'd think they would have called for backup or shown some form of Police ID if they were really going to pull you over.

It sounds to me that they aren't very good cops. They need a report filed on them....not that it will make any difference. Might be best to get an attorney involved to protect your rights here....you really need a copy of the call to 911.

I'd definitely try to get them reprimanded and enrolled in anger management classes.

I had an off-duty cop pull me over as well. He merged right into my lane so I had to either swerve to the other lane or slam on my brakes. I chose to swerve and didn't really slow down any, the usual 5 mph over the speed limit. He pulled me over and said that I was driving recklessly and proceeded to give me a lecture about how to drive and whatnot and said that if he were on duty he'd give me a ticket. I told him that I believed that he was at fault for merging into my lane without looking and he got even more pissy.

Yes, he was a Barney County cop.

That's a pretty crazy story. I am all for supporting individuals in law enforcement, however just like in the rest of the population there are always those few assclowns that give others a bad reputation.

Well, you did the smart thing by getting to the police station. If you had ESP, you could have picked up a box of Krispy Kremes before hand and tossed it out the window to distract the John McClaine wannabes.

He had emergency equipment in his POV or was driving a cruiser off duty?

Wow, crazy. My only encounter with an undercover was in a friend's car. We were driving on a 45-50 MPH suburban road doing maybe 5 over and some douche in a big pickup, a GM 2500 I think, starts to tail us. My friend gets pissed off so he guns it and then cuts the truck off after he guns it too. He must've floored it or something, because the next thing we knew, he was right next to us. He honked a few times, rolled down the window, plop goes the badge. My friend went from pissed to dead scared, the cop told us not to be stupid, literally, and drove off.
