Also, if you check benchs with tri titans on this site http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_Titan_SLI/1.html
you can see games like farcry3 are already putting a lot of stress to the system with 3x1080p, my rig will be kinda the same appart from oc'd gpus and cpu, but will it really be enough to get satisfying fps on 3x1440p?
What about the LN5400 series which offers a 42" 1080p with 120Hz refresh rate? Any good for computer use or gaming?I got my eyes on those LG LN5300 series (32", 39", and 42") LED HD 1080p TVs. I'm thinking either the 32" or 39" (which the 39" is said to be like the old Westy 37" but better) as a set up. Cheaper than the typical 30" LCD monitor. I hear they make great gaming TVs. You may want to look into them as one possibility. Just a suggestion anyway.
Basically, a "4K" monitor is exactly what you would want for a 3x titan setup...except nobody makes them. Well there's the Seiki TV I listed but its low quality and stuck at 30FPS...Asus just announced one which needs 2 DP connectors to get over 30FPS, and costs as much as its resolution (4k$).

30" is nice, but as you see most are designed for graphics not gaming, and the 25x16 res SHOULD be better.
It's unfortunate we've been stuck in this shit screen limbo, that's why we have to deal with multi monitor setups...because manufacturers refuse to make decent screens, especially for gaming.
It seems as if the market is stirring though, perhaps it's best to get a cheap monitor now and wait for a proper display to be released.
I'm still using a decades old CRT because it's vastly superior to any LCD product currently available. I will upgrade when they can at least match the PPI on my 20" monitor...even if it takes a 30" and I loose every other advantage (uniformity/color/response time).

What exactly is wrong wtih the U3014? Short of a 4K monitor, a trio of those would be by far the most sensible option given their resolution and the fact that they're using the very latest LG panel.u3014 seems plagued with issues on every single level if you check forums yea, was my first choice but it really doesnt seem worth at all at the moment : /
if money isnt an issue for you, i'd pick a NEC over dell or HP anytime.
You would also pay 4 times as much, if you're going for a 2560x1440/1600 IPS screen. NEC has a few budget 1080p/1200p screens but their QHD panels are ridiculously expensive, and not remotely worth it unless you're using it for a workplace or professional use.

That screen looks fine thank you very much, I just can't really import thatto france, customs and taxes there make it too much a gamble to import anything, I've seen people pay twice the price of the us price if you added everything they made you pay for the import. : /
Gotta stick to EU countries
