30 feet of rope light - $8 online

Not sure abouy the price on the streets for 30' of rope light, but this sounds fairly cheap. Could be used as Christmas lighting...

Hmm... think I just saw something like this at Walmart tonight in the Xmas decor section.. go check 'em out. I think it's for sure cheaper than this place.

Note, you can't plug these into the wall, they are DC. You'll either have to get an AC-DC converter, or plug them into something DC like your computer or car.

Sam's Club is selling a 2-pack of 24' rope lights for around $15. These are AC, so you can plug them into the wall. YMMV though, their stock looked pretty slim when I picked some up this weekend.

Hmmmmm this stuff would actually work well with any outdoor low voltage lighting setup.... I hadn't thought about using ropelight, but it might work out well. The shipping does seem a bit high, though.
