$30 off $150 coupon for new and existing customers, expires 10/31. Looks like a legitimate "for everyone who looks at the website" coupon, but don't want to post it here for fear of death.

Also, they had something on buy.com having a sweepstakes for Super Bowl Tickets and RCA dish and RCA TV when you buy with VISA.

This deal can be found by clicking the "Football" deal on the front page of Buy.com... However, when you click on the $30.00 off ad it says the coupon is no longer valid... who knows.

Last night several sites posted a bunch of return customer coupons for buy.com, including some 30/150s. Well, I clicked on every one, and every one was for NEW customers only.

However, the batch of 20/100s that is out there IS working....

I used the coupon and ordered a couple of turtle beach santa cruz sound cards.

Note, beings I live in CA, they are obligated to charge me sales tax.

According to Buycomp's online purchase reciept, they charge CA residents 7.25% sales tax.

1) Looking at my receipt, they are charging tax on the price before the coupon is deducted.

2) Looking at a prior order (for two of the same sound cards at the same price) they charged the correct % sales tax but again charged it on the before-discount price.

Conclusion for this order: they are charging a higher % sales tax AND they are charging it on the before-discount price, not the final price of the item(s) as they should be.

I called a customer support person at Buycomp and they said they will credit me $5 for this recent order and will look into the situation.

Still, the $30 off $150 is good to have.

Hmm... how strange they never charge me before the discount for tax, but after. I also live in CA. Maybe a fluke with your account? What gets me is Computers4sure charges tax on the shipping, and 8.25% too, ugh!
