It was good while it lasted. If i wasn't banned from buying any more PS2's, I could have bought one for 175. Oh well, it was a good deal for a PS2 and games anyways

Why would you tell them to stick the card up theirs? It's a good card...not exactly all their fault that you applied and it didnt get there in time for you to buy craploads of stuff at 30% off...

Just got back from Burbank store, at 10pm, almost no ps2 game left.
I bought three tdk 10x cd-rw 5 pack plus a calender, used the $10 off 50 coupon, final cost is $30.18, not bad.

I wanted to buy some cd, but many cd are on sale, so can't use the coupon, they're quite cheating.
For regular price cd, after coupon and ae 30% off, the price is about at best buy, not a great deal.

Today I went there to exchange a game (unopened) bought on 12/26 for a newly released game.
Easy, fast, no need to fill out any form.
I went to the Hollywood Virgin, their sales are more friendly than other stores, and I just did exchange, no purchase, they still validate the parking.

Now I feel stupid that I didn't use all the $25 off 100 coupon on 12/26 to get all whatever $49.99 games available. If you did so, now it's good time to exchange new games. Now they've Parappa 2, Gradia 2, etc.

The original description of the 30% deal (on both the Virgin and AmEx websites) stated that you had to make returns by a certain date - I believe it was 1/15. However, I'm not surprised that they took them as regular returns. I wasn't sure how they were going to uphold that, since Virgin stores in general seem pretty disorganized and their employees not well informed...

Remember you're exchanging a same price item, not return for refund. They accept exchange unopened item even without receipt. So you still paid same amount to Virgin, Virgin still paid same amount to AE. It's none of AE's business.
