FYI to those of you waiting for the 26th to combine the AMEX 30% off with the Virgin coupon books, my friend told me the employees in the Block at the Orange store said that they would not allow a combination of the two discounts. He also called AMEX and they also said that it would not be allowed. I might go try regardless, but just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

Has anyone been able to get the combined offers (30%off + coupon) to work? I'm an hour from the nearest store (Burbank) and got in on 30% off a PS2, but some games at an even deeper discount would be SWEET!

Just got back from Virgin at the Block in Anaheim, CA. Picked up Amed and Project Gotham Racing for the XBOX, and I forgot my coupons at home, so I didn't get to try using them.

That maxed out my credit card...Whew!

I was able to use the 30% off and the coupon at the Long Island store w/o a problem. In fact, the cashier was trying hard to find me another game so I could use the $25 off $100 coupon (Their PS2 and XBox game stock is heavily depleted), but alas, nothing good.

So, instead I got Twisted Metal Black for about $30.

I applied online for my AMEX Blue Card two weeks ago and while it was processing it said that the system was down and that I would have to wait to be notified by mail. I still have not heard anything from them.

If I get accepted now I am going to return the card. It's a great deal that ends today so I won't need the card now. I'll be sure to tell them exactly where they can stick it too!

Yes, you can combo all the coupons with AMEX in San Francisco too. All the PS2's are out of stock by now though. The cashiers have no problem doing separate transactions to allow you to maximize the coupons. I got a PS2 for $208 and a 5 trade paperbacks for $43, while my friend used the $5 off a game, $4 off a cd, $25 off $100 and 2 $4 off a dvd coupons at once.

Note that this doesn't work if the stuff is already on sale/clearance. Go today!!! One of the best sales EVER!!!!!

Arizona Mills is allowing the combo too. My guy didn't even make me check out multiple times. He just added a $25 off for every hundred I spent. Got 4 Xbox games for $114.

I may go back for some PS2s. There were at least 30 of them, and they should end up pretty close to $200 each after coupons.

I am really intrested in finding out what is the exact prodcedure in doing the tax on this deal.

Perfectly swept off...............no sign of any consoles, but you might get lucky if it's the right time they unload the stuffs.

After going to the Burbank store, which had practically no real good DVD titles at all, I went to the Sunset one and
I got 8 out of 10 DVDs i wanted luckily.

As I made it out of the elevator of the parking structure, a guy walked into it carrying an Xbox in his arms...lucky guy as well

To sweeten the deal even better, the Sunset (Hollywood) and Burbank Virgin Megas have a buy 10 DVDs get one free promotion card stamp things. The card is valid 3 months after your initial purchase.
No other Virgin Mega's have this i believe.

The coupon books are still valid till March though which is great.
No PS2's in sight today btw.
