300' Coax cable run?

Long story short, my parents cottage in Canada faces the wrong direction to get satellite TV signal, with way too many trees in the direction we need. The neighbors behind us have service, they are about 300' away using Google's trusty measure tool on Google Maps. If we get permission from the neighbors, would it be possible to split their line with a splitter, run 300' to our cottage and still get a worthwhile signal? I was looking at 500' spools of RG6 cable for ~$50, which isn't bad. Would there be a way to test it before having them order a box and everything?

The cable would be ran either in the air or on the ground (in conduit), since the ground is so rocky we wouldn't be able to go underground.

What say you, smart people?

300' is not going to make it, especially with RG6. MAYBE with RG11, here is a loss chart: https://www.dslreports.com/faq/3408

every 3db of loss is half the power and IIRC Sat service runs stuff on the cables in the 2Ghz range which would be even higher losses than that chart.
