I know they can be overpriced and being a florida resident I do have to pay taxes. But other than that I have never had trouble from them the two times I placed orders from them.

Tiger Direct is notorious for either taking forever to pay out rebates, or not paying them at all. I've heard they're getting better, but I don't think I'd be in a big hurry to buy from them, personally.

How can you have 4000 posts and not have heard of TD's reputation?

They are scumbags. The fact that _some_ people get their products / rebates doesn't prove much. They are probably the worst single merchant that is still in business.

Any time I see TigerDirect anywhere I quickly move on. Not only are they crooks when it comes to rebates, they've shipped used merchandise to people as 'new', they've provided people's credit card numbers to scammers etc etc. Basically, a crooked outfit. Yeah, some say they've gotten better, but I'm not about to risk anything with that scum.
