300 is a horrible movie

How about ANY of the Star Wars movies just for starters... I defy you to find a movie with dialog worse than any of them.

Agreed 100%. Lucas (or his people) write some of the worse dialogue ever. Star wars movies are laughable, embarrassing in that aspect. 300 was no "My dinner with Andre" or "House of Games" but to say it's dialogue was worse than Star Wars is fanboy hooey...

The artists probably used some artistic licence there After all there isn't a single frame of the movie not touched by an airbrush.

I haven't seen it yet, but all I'm expecting is a lot of gore and fighting, and some wicked nice special effects. I'm not expecting Oscar worthy dialogue or anything like that.

As far as Sin City being better, I doubt it. The dialogue in Sin City was horribly cheesy and poorly done, I understand they took a lot of it right from the novels, but still. Action was good and the effects were great, but the constant blathering killed it for me.

yah people who are criticizing this movie need to fvcking understand it's based off of a fvcking comic book and comic book script!!

it's not a fvcking documentary or a deep story.

learn how to watch a movie and know what to expect out of a movie before you watch it. don't go into a movie like Happy Gilmore and expect to see an Oscar worthy movie and you won't be disappointed anymore.

The movie made over 70 mils the first weekend in theathers. Yup, it sucked so bad that the producers are laughing all the way to the bank.

Sure, it is no LOTR but not bad for a martini show <$5.25 for me>.

the bottom line is that there is no way you can argue that the dialogue in 300 was good.

The reason the narration was done that way is because the author of the comic wanted the the movie to be a kind of "Campfire story" which is what it was. He was quoted saying this in some article.

I saw it yesterday. My movie optimization technique never fails. Expect nothing and you will always come away satisfied.

That said, I thought it was decent. Definitely one of the best marketed movies of all time. I can't remember many movies creating as much hype.
