I was at the mall today and saw crowds around the cell phone kiosks, after investigating, tmobile was the reason for that. These plans are really tempting. I think the 2.99 nights option was probably something they either put on their site as a mistake or had it up briefly and took it down. if you follow Rolltide's link and click on one of hte other options on the left, you'll notice that the unlimited nights dissapears from the menu... too bad it's not available now, maybe they're planning on offering it later?

where's the info on the $49.99/3000 anytime minutes with free nationwide long distance. then only plan that are priced that way is the regional plan that include calling to/from california/nevada.. closest national rate plan that's close is the $59.99 for 1500 anytime minutes

I hear that T-Mobile might be offering NIGHTS in the upcoming future..but not right now.

On the 3000 ANYTIME REGIONAL PLAN...the FREE LD is ONLY for calls made within NEVADA & CALIFORNIA

On another note...seems as tho Coporate has decided to revert back to the 800 ANYTIME (instead of the upgraded 1600 as was told to us dealers 24 hours previous)for the Family Plan as of 6PM yesterday evening. Basically the news were leaked to dealers and therefore never went public....

I apologize for leaking this info 2 guys b4 making 110% sure....that this was REALLY THE CASE...

Alot of our customers have been requesting the T68...but unofrtunately we haven't been able to find a supplier that has it in stock....

On another note...IMHO the Samsung R225 is a really NICE fone......

might want to edit your thread title to mention only calls made to/from Nevada and California.. when i think of Long Distance, i have all 50 states in mind.. not just 2 out of 50.. but that's just me.

Yes...this is an awesome deal. Cingular customers would kill to have this deal. 1000 anytime vs. 500 anytime for the same price. Who needs nights when you have that many minutes? And anyway, Voicestream's CS >> Cingular CS by far. I would totally go for this deal, but unfortunately I'm tied down with a contract with Cingular. At least I get to use Voicestream's network here in Philly.

In reference to the $49.99/3000 anytime + free LD, i think this is a great deal for someone like me that doesnt call outside CA. but his thread title is misleading when he states that it is free long distance when infact, it's the regional plan that only includes calls to/from california and nevada. like i said in a previous post, long distance to me and i would think most people, would include the whole united states, not just 2 of them..

he does state it in a reply, but a clarification in the original post/thread title would be nice for someone that doesnt want to go thru all the replies to the thread just to find that out.

I agree with NewSc2. Anyone that has even owned a cellphone should know this is a hot deal! He did post his work information, but that was because I myself, and others asked for it. This way we will get a better deal, and he can make some money from getting us a better deal. If you'd rather go to some joe-shmo, go ahead, but I'd rather go to a fellow anandtecher. About the missleading mistakes/missunderstandings. I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose. If you read the entire thread, you'll see that even t-mobile's site first had free nights for 2.99, but took it down in about 12 hours. I also found on their site, that each additional megabyte of transfer was $0.00. Which made me flip out and excited, but then they later changed that down also. Point is, leave smartcap alone, cuz he's putt'n out the deals as he sees them.

Whats this about not being charged extra for roaming but being charged per minute for placing calls outside VoiceStreams Network. Is this what VoiceStream means by "Free Roaming"? What's the deal!! If VoiceStream is playing these games the I'd suggest we stay away from them.

loudmouth: what do you mean by placing calls outside of the Voicestream network? If you sign up with their national plan, there is no roaming, i.e. anywhere you pick up a Voicestream signal and place a call, you're not charged an extra fee. Since Voicestream is GSM and has no analog counterpart, there are no other charges. Voicestream isn't playing games...they're one of the better wireless companies out there right now. Too bad they're not doing too well financially.

Personally, I see only the national plan as a great deal, but only because I am in Philadelphia for a large part of each year and I make calls outside of the CA/NV region. For anyone who needs a cell phone plan, I suggest signing up with these new plans...you get major discounts on their phones to boot.

I just signed up for the 1000 anytime/$40 plan yesterday in Pleasanton. So far, the service works about the same as Cingular, if not a little better (which makes sense since they use the same towers and they have fewer users). I got the Samsung R225 phone for $89 and they gave me a $89 rebate & free car charger. I love the phone...I was gonna unlock my V60g from Cingular to access the internet capability but I think I am gonna keep the Samsung cuz I like it so much.

MAKE MONEY! If you can somehow order the phone from Amazon, you can get a $150 rebate from them! I tried to do this, but couldn't since they ask you for your zip code (can't order phone w/ CA address). Too bad, cuz if you could get the T-Mobile rebate for $89, you could actually MAKE $150! You could also make $125 by buying the Motorola T193. If anyone is successful at this, let me know!
