I had $3000 to spend on whatever I wanted. And it happen to be a computer.
Most if not everything has already been bought, and right now it's in UPS or Fedex's hands.

Build:
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
Opteron 175 w/SI-120
OCZ DDR500 Platinum (Inferion Chip one)
eVGA 7800GTX 512
Creative X-Fi Platinum
My old 200GB Hard Drivesx2 in RAID0
Seasonic S-12 600W PSU
TT Kandalf case
And assorded other stuff

(Please excuse my horrid spelling)

Now, I will probably get flamed for spending so much money on a computer and contiune the tradition of the OP getting fvck'd. I don't really mind, I have a really fast computer on the way.

What is the point of posting that if you already ordered it?

BTW, that was an extreme waste of cash. Raid 0 has been proven time and again to be almost worthless for the desktop. $3000 and you dont even have 2 video cards?

No water cooling? an expensive SLI mobo and only one graphic card?!?!?!?!? I could have given you your moneys worth if you had just posted before you bought.

As I reply to this post, I wonder why we are suckered into doing so every time. I wish we could just ignore these things. . .

Good question! You state your reusing the hard drives, and the rest of the parts you listed come to about $1600-2000?

Wise choice, as the above does not sum up to $3000 yet...

Regarding the rig opinion I have to join my pre-posters:
Why not SLI'ed GTX'es?
No watercooling?
Not the X-FI Fatal1ty?

You could save a fortune by picking 2x7800GT and a cheaper Opteron 165 (or 170 at least) and go overclock...

SLI (and SLI capable mainboards) = no.

Why not get an Opteron 165 instead and then overclock it. Your DDR500 RAM wants to be overclocked anyways.

OCZ RAM generally prefers DFI boards due to the crazy voltage levels that they offer.

And assorded other stuff

What exactly is assorted other stuff? What else did you buy that would warrant $3000 because what you've listed doesn't add up to it.

Yeah, it has been said already but 3 grand for that?!?!?

Unless your assorted other stuff is about a grand worth, then you got RIPPED.

Personally I do not get the whole Opetron craze, stick with a desktop chip and be done with it. But even with that, if you are going to get an SLI board, and you WANT to spend that much money, SLI that RIG!

Assorded other stuff:
G15 Gaming Keyboard $70
G5 mouse $50
Viewsonic VP930B Monitor $430
X-530 Speakers $50

And the other Stuff:
Mobo: $240
RAM: $350
CPU w/HS: $530sih
Vid Card: $750
Case: $189
PSU: $170

Total So far: $2200
To make $3000 just add another GTX or Monitor. Probably GTX when they come better avalible.

I meant to type the rest in, forgot about it, had too much to drink.

I wanted the fastest thing there was, dont really care about the price

1. why go opteron if you won't be OCing
2. if you will be OCing, why no cooling?
3. $350 on ram?
4. your sound card costs more than your speakers....
5. you stated how you had to much to drink. was this also true while you were ordering?

I guess if you have the money then why not. Might as well get the best of the best right?

Nice build nonetheless.

Then your posts actually make sense It was not to flame you but your topic title and the items in your first post didn't match. If you had listed all this in your first post people would have been far more constructive in their critique.

Alright, so it wasn't quite $3000, but it came close.

In Feb. or around there, I getting some Water Cooling for it.
What would you suggest, and it can't be $3000, I'm shooting for around $200-300.

<- *crying* because he spent all his money on the computer, and none on water cooling (but I did get a SI-120
