If you find this binder at your local staples it WILL scan at $9.50. The SKU is in the computers at $9.50. This is a national clearance at Staples, and YM will NOT V if you find one in stock.

So, no, it's not YMMV. I'm happy for you that a long time ago in a land far far away you found some binders at Staples at a good price and that not everyone else got that same price at their local Staples. That would indicate that the price wasn't in the computers and that, yes, YMMV. But in THIS case, no, no varying mileage. It's in the computer. Not a YMMV deal.

But thanks for sharing with us that charming tale of your purchases last year.

This is NOT a YMMV item. The $9.50 price is in the Staples computer. The only question is whether your local Staples has it in stock. If they do, it WILL be $9.50.

actually, it is YMMV. many times, sale/clearance items are already out of stock.

lol i just bought it, for 9.5, but i forgot the receipt in the car and i'm toolazy to go grab it to look at the sku

and a hint, they ARE in the computer - media storage section, but it's not on the shelf among the other binders, they have a little carton stand with them in it, i was gonna grab 2 but my conscious told me otherwise, i'm a nice guy like that, so there's still 1 left in walnut, ca.

btw, i was looking for it very hard too and then another customer told me to get the 304 and i was like yea! that's the one i was looking for!

moral of the story....look carefully!....or ASK the employees

EDIT: u can try to look it up by it's "model" SL-RING-304 , not sure if that actually helps lol

This thread really sucks. Not one poster will reveal whether it's Fellows, Case Logic, or whatever. I mean, come on, some of these things aren't worth the trouble. They have these stupid flaps that are extremely aggaravating when it comes to putting in a disc. So one poster puts up a non-clickable link stating that this is what it looks like and it was a Csde-It. Never heard of them. I visited Staples website and saw no CD Binders for $9.50 either in their regular listing or in their clearance section. So I guess this thread should just suggest that you go by a Staples store because they may have some crap on sale you might want.

It's a Case It brand organizer, model SL-RING-304.

The Buy.com link to the same organizer is LINK.

The Staples SKU is 510984. It is $9.50 in the Staples system. YM will NOT Vary if your Staples has them in stock.

The original Staples price was $39.98. It was previously available at a clearance price of $19.90. It went to the final
clearance price of $9.50 on 11/13/03.

I'd call quality OK but not fantastic. Definitely a deal for the price if you need a huge organizer.

I think that pretty much covers what you need to know.

Thank you very much for actually posting some information about this item. Definitely a Hot Deal if it's a decent case. I have so many discs now that I put them in sleeves and in large plastic under bed type containers. Trying to put them all in case binders or jewel cases got very expensive. At the price though I might buy one or two. Maybe I can make it by a couple of Staples stores to see if they still have any. Thanks

Someone had posted a link and stated 'this is what it looks like'. They didn't state that this was it or post a link on Staples' website. My nearest Staples stores are 40 miles away. So unless I have other business there I have better things to do than going out of my way to see if they have a stupid CD binder at a cheap price that is actually decent. So what good does it do to click on a link to a binder that looks like the one Staples has? They all look basically the same. Being able to find it on Staples website and possibly order it would be nice. OK you now have my permission to crawl back under your rock.

The Staples in Towson, Baltimore had at least a dozen of these in stock, tagged at $39.99, but they rung up at $9.50. The cashier even seemed to know that they were mispriced and seemed a little sheepish that they hadn't changed the shelf tag. Also, they weren't with the other media binders, but were in a cardboard stand up at the end of the aisle. Thanks for this deal!!!
