There is a possibility they will reneg on it. It's usually not worth the bother if you haven't received it. Watch your account.

Exactly, because they won't know the difference (the same way you can receive a rebate). You get your receipt directly from MWave (at least I did).

I believe the rebate will count against your amount paid for stepup (as evga is involved in their fulfilment) but the MS cash back is transparent to the buying process and won't.

Yes, all MIR's will count against the Step Up price.

Additionally, users need to know eVGA limits step up availability to almost only stock reference cards, it is extremely unlikely you can count on stepping up to an SC or SSC or KO or some other factory overclocked model.

So I just received my 280 and am happy as can be! but I have a few questions about the rebate. Since I ordered it through ebay I feel as if I am missing a few things. I received an email from mwave confirming my order but does this actually count as a sales receipt like the rebate asks for:

3. Mail this form with a copy of your sales receipt and original UPC code with serial number from product.

If not im screwed because it is the only thing i received that has my purchase listed on it from mwave.

no, go to the main mwave site and register there and then you can print out your regular invoice.
