30gb 7200RPM IBM 150$ = good?

I'm pretty sure this is a nice price (seems so to me) but I'd like someone else's opinion to this one.

beware of dealings with essential computers!!!!
their customer service is terrible and they have fine print for everything. do not buy until you have read the returns exchanges policies. they are very stingy in this area, possibly leaving many people looking for a good deal out to dry!!!

I have ordered from Essential Computers before and didn't have any trouble with the hardware, just with the shipping. I bought 2 MB's, 2 video cards, 2 CD-ROMs, a HD, and a sound card. The total came to around $730 or so before s/h. They charge a per item shipping cost and told me that it would cost $150!!! for s/h UPS Ground. I told them to get real and talked them down to $50 but even then it was a total rip off. If you are buying one item from them then it is about average s/h but if you buy multiple items (which will be shipped in the same box), you will pay the s/h as if they were sent separately plus more.

I got my C566 and slocket from them no trouble, you sure essencom is bad? (must admit the shipping was 16$ or something stupid like that, they double it per item I think)

yes 15gb per platter - very fast like i said as quick as the ibm 75gxp model - a kickass drive indeed.
