There are a number of 32 inch 4K monitors out there and I'd appreciate any feedback on what's out there and what's possibly close to being out there. My particular interest isn't so much gaming as image and video editing with the Adobe CC suite of Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects. So, 60hz at 4K is perfectly acceptable.

I should mention that this will be going into a new PC I just completed building with the following parts: Thermaltake V71 case, Thermaltake 750W power supply, Asus x99-Pro USB3.1 motherboard, Intel i7-5820K CPU, Corsair H100i water cooled CPU cooler, G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4 RAM 32GB (4x8GB) at 3200, EVGA GeForce 980 Ti Hybrid (water cooled) GPU, Samsung 950 Pro PCIe M.2 SSD for OS and programs, 2x 6TB WD Black HD's for storage, LG Blu-ray optical drive -- all running under Windows 10 Home and modestly OCed.

So, my main usage is in image and video editing and that's 36MP still images (Nikon D800E) and HD and UHD (4K) video as well as CAD work. So, 60Hz and 4K is sufficient but good color and brightness as well as the ability to be color corrected (X-Rite i1).

The new Dell OLED looks great but WAY TOO MUCH MONEY so I'll need to come down from that. I was looking at the Samsung U32D970Q 32 inch 4K monitor but I don't know much about it or how it compares to the other 32 inch 4K displays in the same price range. Again, any feedback would be appreciated.

Another panel I've been looking at and maybe a bit more appropriate for my needs is the ASUS ProArt PA329Q 32" 4K monitor. The problem is that although it was released in mid 2015 it doesn't appear to be available anywhere. Doing a search on Google brought up an Amazon page but instead of the PA329Q it displays the PA328Q -- last years display and missing the useful upgrades in the PA329Q.

Also of note in the Google search is that all the websites talking about it are dated early June 2015 and not much after that -- WTF is up with this display. If they're having problems bringing this to market you'd think some of the websites would have mentioned that but nary a word.

Sad as the Asus panel looks just about perfect for my needs...

I believe the target release date is this march/april 2016. I'm also waiting for this monitor as well as the Benq PV3200PT

Thanks for the mention of the Benq display -- lets see which one is available first. And for how much...

I have been using a 32" Acer 4K for the past year and have no had no issues with it. Great image quality and especially good on text. I have been wondering what a 40" UHD TV would be like as a monitor and yesterday I heard that a local pawn shop had new in the box Samsung 40JU6700 curved TV's at $499 and I went today a got one. Initial impressions are that the Samsung is not quite as good as the Acer on text, but pictures look good and games look great also. The biggest issue is the sheer size of the 40" on the desktop. I don't know which one I will keep as a monitor.

While the 24" I now have is definitely smaller than I'd like I'm pretty sure 40" would be unmanageable. 32" seems to be about the sweet spot for single display.

It looks like the Benq PV3200PT is now available and selling for $1299 -- anyone picked one up yet?

Also, the specs are a bit cloudy -- what frame rate is it capable of at a 4K resolution of 3840x2160?

I've been running the BenQ 2k monitor as my work monitor. beautiful resolution and colors. I got it at the BenQdirect site (refurbished) for $343 delivered...Watch the store for inventory. These VA panels have been selling pretty fast when they show up. Asus makes a comparable one for about $550. forget the exact model number.

After much deliberation I went for the 4k BenQ BL3201PT display, the 32" IPS 4ms one which is great for gaming. I would recommend. Many of the competing panels at the time were IPS but weren't quite as fast I saw a bunch of 5/6ms and 8ms panels. It's also one of the fewer bright panels at 350cd/m^2 panels rather than say 300.

The only one drawback it has is that some people (including myself) have noticed that approximately once a day with high usage (say every ~6 hours) you'll get a single frame flicker with a bunch of noise in it. Actually over the time I've had it which is quite some time now, it seems to be occurring less I don't notice it at all these days. There's prior discussion on this forum about these panels in a thread I made and there's a massive (old) thread about the same BenQ panel at [H]forums. Other than this minor defect, very good panel, mine was 100% pixel perfect and still is.
