I would want to add the Cap Gun (Pistol or Rifle). I'm in my 60's and remember that it seems everyone I knew as a kid had one (me too - had several).

This is written under the Lego space dude

Lego’s use of precision injection molding, instead of metal stamping or wood cutting, marked a turning point in the toy industry. Its products were lighter, safer, and less expensive than comparable toys.

WHAT are these comparable toys they're talking about that cost more than Legos? Legos are expensive as shit.

Firstly Lego doesn't have an s at the end.

Secondly plain Lego wasn't expensive really, the modern licenced stuff is (star wars Lego or harry potter Lego for example).

Win. Any boy had a cap gun or guns and if he didn't he was a little bitch. Sling shot should be on there, too ;0

Also what about Hot Wheels cars, they were huge. Even silly putty and Care Bears were pretty huge but not sure if they'd make the top 32 of all time.

Some pretty good ones on the list, but I was surprised not to see:

1. Garbage Pail Kids

2. My Little Pony

3. Any kind of corked pop gun

4. Any kind of model train (e.g., thomas the train)

5. Match Box Cars

yeah you can buy 1000 or 2000 tubs cheap. that's what we did.

BUT they are still more expensive then the other brands.

A bunch of questionable entries. I have a green marble like the one on the right. I found it on a job rebuilding a reservoir. They were getting fill from somewhere near DC, and it was filled with old trash. I got a couple bottles, and some decorative brass from that job. I'd have loved to have scavenged where that fill was coming from.

Clackers - you bang them together using an up and down motion from your hand. Like the perpetual motion toy with the hanging balls. If you did it hard and well enough, you could bounce them at the top of the arc, as well as the bottom.

Very hard plastic - hurt like hell if you hit yourself (or your kid sister... ), and they could shatter...

They are referring to comparable toys at the time of Lego's introduction. Those toys were made of wood or metal so they were more expensive than plastic.
