"This 320 Watt ATX power supply from Raidmax is a good basic power supply for most systems. It works with both AMD and Intel platforms and is Pentium IV ready. It has one 80mm exhaust fan and does not generate much heat or noise. This is the predecessor to the 350W Raidmax branded power supply and has the same internals.

These power supplies originally came with Raidmax A288 aluminum
case. A good basic power supply for under $10."

I can vouch for this P/S. I have built three AMD systems using this P/S. The fastest is the 2000+. Anyone else with a faster processor?

Very sad about the reseller ratings. I, too, have had good dealings with them in the past and their pricing is excellent.

Everything I have ever ordered frokm them has come in on time, and been great. But these new reseller ratings, along with the rants in some HD posts are beginning to scare me.

I bought 3 RaidMax 350W from them few weeks ago, two of them are dead already and on their way back to SVC (dead during power off -- turned off normal but could not turn them back on). I am on third one and have to unplug the power every night.

Never had this strange problem with any other brands.

Thought it's something you need to know about this brand before you buy.

I dont know about the PS in question here but I've always had good dealings with SVC in the past. Last night I ordered some HS/Fs and misc stuff from them. I'll check back in to give my latest experience with them after I get my goods. (I'll also hit resellerratings w/same.) I'm bummed out about their bad rap of late, I've been a fan of theirs with @ least a dozen orders under my belt. I hope it's a transitional thing w/them.

I've purchased heatsink+fan combos as well as case fans from SVC and never had any problems or complaints. Then again, these are very simple parts, and it's pretty hard to get a bad fan

I recently bought a Raidmax case and it came with a 350w p/s. Is this enough power to run 2 cd drives (dvd + burner), three hds, and other computer stuff (i.e vcard, amd duron 1.3 ghz, 3 case fan, etc..)?

Your are warned: Stay away from SVC.

They might be good in the past, but their service has been terrible in recent months. I am one of those that got screwed. If you like to roll your dice, good luck.

I received my order today, complete and very much on time. I have yet to have a bad experience with SVC, but on the other hand I do not disbelieve other's probs. I guess the old adage YMMV applies...

hmm, I've ordered from them before (as recently as a month ago) and haven't had problems with items or shipping time.
of course, I've just ordered pretty simple parts from them: heatsinks, thermal grease, etc.

I've ordered from the twice...both simple orders (cables & ASII).
The first time went smooth...the 2nd went to heck.
I e-mailed customer service & didn't get a response after 4 weeks & e-mailed them again. I got a response 2 days later. I have yet to receive a response from my reply.
I'm giving them a chance...I hope they don't blow it.

Kaieye, I hope you are just being sarcastic. Newegg has been the best online vendor I have ever purchased from, both in the quality of the items received and the fast shipping, not to mention the competitive prices. I have never bought anything from SVC simply because I hear on these boards to many complaints recently. I have to say your the first one I have heard that doesn't like Newegg. Or perhaps you work for SVC

do yourself right...

Get one of these...

either the 350 or 400...

or get something else... but just make sure there's at least 1 ball bearing fan in the thing, preferable two. cheap power supplies usually use sleeve fans, so getting stuck with an over heating power supply is what usually happens after a year or so. In the long run, an extra 20 is very good insurance for a 1000+ computer.

but if you like crap...well then, by all means...

Got one of the 350W from the last special @ SVC, it pushes a 1.6A P4 no prob's, K7S5A though is another story.
Seriously folks, these are great PS'es for duron boxes, I wouldn't try to build a home theatre with one of these though.

Excuse my newbieness, but I've placed a couple of orders with SVC and have been satisfied with the stuff I got and the delivery time.

BUT, I think I'll stay away from this PS. I think it's not worth the risk for anything past a basic box.
