honda's are rice cars, how many times do you see riced out german automobiles? not very often.

American cars are great for drag racing, nothing beats the feeling of 350 cubic inches and the cams lobing ready to launch

Who cares? You can trick out just about any block to generate just about any hp with the right amount of cash.

biennerienno - my point exactly. he said that his sunfire can take integras left and right. i merely pointed out that he *might* be able to take the ls, but not the ITR. read my posts.

because the TDI is a good performer, what it lacks in HP it makes up in torque. Plus it gets extremely good milage.

The TDI jetta's 0-60 is about 11 seconds or so with a 5-speed. I know that driving one it feels a bit better than that because of the torque, but its not a fast car at all.

awww christ, Valhalla is at it again. You'd think that engine technology reached it's peaked with the LS1 listening to him, bar none. Here you go calling the VR6 a "pos" engine, just like you called the audi S4 a "POS family sedan crapper." I don't usually like to flame people, but Valhalla, you're an idiot. You can't even have a civil argument with the rest of us. You have to resort to calling anything anyone has to offer a "POS". How old are you?

<< Wtf does a viper have to do with a jetta?! >>

Dunno.

Maybe Viper's V10 engine was based on the Jetta's straight 4??

ROFLMAO

Show me one use for 400+HP anywhere but the track?

I'll take my 67 Mustang Coupe anyday.

302 bored to 305 4bbl Holley
Sticky Wide Tires
Super Stiff Suspension.

I'll whup anyone on the back roads near my house. And If I don't, I'll send for the ambulance, because I know those roads and if you beat me, your gonna miss that next bend and end up in an NYC resevoir...

I gotta say though, I would love to see a 1000HP Supra on a track. That is some SERIOUS power to weight ratio. Probably would get 4mpg...

Dude, VW's rock! I don't care how fast it goes, but I would take a new VW over a Honda or Toyota anyday (except for an Acura). When I finally buy a car it is going to be between a VW Jetta and a Acura Type R. Granted, two totally different cars but when I get the money it will be between those two and which one I like the most and what my $$$-flow looks like.

you all are saying this 200hp engine is the best thing since sliced bread.. I say its a POS because it IS only 200hp.

I dont care how efficient or nifty an engine is, if its 200hp, I'll take a bigger V8 if I can get it.

valhanna i agree man
i would never buy a 200 hp engine (or a sedan frot hat matter) (only luxury)
i only referred to that because he was looking at aj etta
and the maxima is much better than that POS

Please provide details of why Volkswagen's are pieces of sh*t, besides the fact that you don't like their styling. Go ahead, I want to see some hard facts.

bigshot,

even though you are obviously an ASS I will respond to your posts.

You are comparing a $20K new car to a bunch of $20K used cars. That's like comparing apples to oranges. Lots of people buy new for the warranty, the latest safety features, etc... Also, many people don't trust how previous owners have treated their cars.

Additionally... although you don't like the styling of VW's the info you provided is not "proof" of their being crap. VAG (Volkswagon Audi Group along with Porsche, but they suck too I guess) builds a wide range of cars from cheap econo-boxes not even sold in the states to bad-ass AutoBahn cruisers like the S8.... so to say that they are all "crap" shows your ignorance of vehicles in general.... they are widely held by the rest of the automotive industry to be a rather solid company. I guess that they suck because they don't produce crappy V6 engine sedans with lame slushbox transmissions and numb handling like most domestics.

Lastly, your from Canada, so I guess that explains everything!
LMAO, j/k.
