So, I just built a new computer. The last time I had a new PC, was back in 2011 when the 2500K launched. I picked up a 6950 2gb at that time. I had used that system until last week. Picked up a 3900x with a 2080 super. With that, it was also time to pick up a new monitor. I had been using 2 of these monitors, so clearly those would not do with my new system.
I had wanted to do 4k, but, I was not willing to go with a 2080ti for its price. 3440x1440 seems much more doable with a 2080 and so when the 2080 super came out, it was clear that my resolution would be the aforementioned. After some research, I got down to the Alienware as it could be bought for $899 and came with a $100 visa gift card bringing the price down to $799. Amazon at the time had it for $65ish more, so its slightly cheaper through dell even with my prime 5% back. So, I used the Alienware monitor for about a week. It was good, but, it had some draw backs.

But, then I saw that the LG 34GK950F-B went on sale for $865 on Amazon and with my prime discount, it comes down to $821.75 which made it $22.75 more than the Alienware monitor. At that price, I decided to order it as it would be free next day shipping from Amazon. So, here are the main specs of the new monitor.

After using both, I prefer the LG monitor. The stand is smaller and fits on my desk better. The image seems to be much brighter. Its very much saturated, but, not to the point it annoys me. But, I very much do prefer the image on the LG over the Alienware. Gaming at this resolution and aspect ration is a blast. There is also the slightly higher refresh rate, but, ill never notice the difference. I think it really is the brightness that made the difference.
Also, I will thank @IndyColtsFan again. When ordering the parts for my build, the R9 3900x was nowhere to be found. A quick search and it still looks like its out of stock pretty much everywhere. I had made a comment in another thread, and shortly after I got a PM from Indy. He let me know that he had ordered one, but, was unsure if he was going to use it in a build and offered to sell it to me at cost plus USPS shipping. My build and the enjoyment I am getting from this would have been greatly delayed if not for his generosity.
