Are these things backwards compatible with older Intel platforms? I'm running a Celeron on a PII mobo through a Slotket converter. Would it work on this system?

just ordered and got free shipping too, first class mail to Texas. $12 is a great deal for a decent 350 power supply!
I've ordered things from SVC both by mail and pickup, they are VERY reputable. The only problem for other people is their tech line is not a 1-800 number. But yeah, I can already tell you that SVC is a GREAT company.Originally posted by: pinoy
I'll try to go there Monday or something.
Yo, MrC,
Would you mind keep us updated if the place looks reputable and if you think its safe to order. I wanted to build my very 1st but on a tight budget, so every penny counts. plus, i'm down here in the south so there's no way for me to check it out.
I've visited their location in San Jose once. There really isn't a storefront... there are maybe ten people shipping products all the time out of what looks like a back section of a former store. The best way to describe them is a small business where they don't waste money on fancy shelving and employee perks; rather they're more like an entrepreneurial group providing excellent products at very low cost. I've ordered from them once and picked up my order in person to save shipping, and I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future.Originally posted by: pinoy

I just picked up 2 today and think they're great for only $12 each, just don't expect antec/enermax/delta/etc quality. Raidmax RD-350W (350W) +3.3V = 16A +5V = 25A +12V = 14A 3.3V & 5V = 178W Antec PP-303XP (300W) +3.3V = 20A +5V = 30A +12V = 15A 3.3V & 5V = 180W The raidmax psu has 4 regular drive connectors + 2 floppy connectors + 2 different auxilary connectors (4 pin and 6 pin mobo). The good, It's only $12!!! The fan in the psu is also pretty quiet (this coming from a panaflo L1A / seagate barracuda / palo alto chassis user) and it has an on/off switch in back. Did i mention it's only $12!!! Now the bad, the fan is weak and there are no intake holes on the bottom of the psu, so it won't help cool your cpu or system. And this psu is light, it weighs less than an old delta 235W psu...

This depends on your motherboard. If your motherboard is an AT style one then it will not be compatible. Only if your motherboard is ATX then it is compatible.

how good are these? i.e. 3.3v + 5v combined?
Hehe, the better question is can the PS hack a ECS K7S5A?
EDIT: Here's a better picture of it (I think):
