As for the aquamark score...both the cpu score (simulation)and the gpu score (render) are too low..but we already knew that...The two do affect eachoter though...
I posted a thread concerning your score..hopefully some decent answers come from that..
Fastwrite > Its a little faster when turned on..(turning it off is mostly done to increase stabilitly)
Aperture size > 128 mb is fine...Suppose your card has 256 mb of memory, but the map it needs to load is 350 mb, the extra mb's needed will come from your 1 gb memory, but at the most 128 mb..as you set it..I think only in doom3 when settings on ultra, 500mb is ever needed...so again 128 should be fine...you could even try 64....sometimes u get a few frames by toying with the agp aperture settings..
Your mem should run at ddr200 in bios...Have u tried setting the divider to 1 : 1 ? cause it should be
You must check your agp speed, in my bios its under AGP MODE...it should be at 8x (as a default) but since your card score is pretty low...there might be something wrong with that..just enter anything that says AGP something...and see if u can choose between 2x, 4x, 8x > u see something like that choose 8x
In windows > in configuration, > system > hardware (management?) > ide-ata/atapi controller > right click > properties > advanced ........MDA (when available) , same goes for SEC IDE...PIO is very slow..
It should be set on MDA by default, but installation of windows gets screwed up every now and then
Install NEWEST video card driver > it should be on
http://www.nvidia.com ....download it and install it..(best way is to uninstall old driver first, but chances are you will get no problems replacing the driver)
Maybe you already sorted the problem, but if u didnt KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE LOL,... many people know how frustrating things like these are, and im sure it will get solved at some point...
p.s: installing new drivers in solves the problem in many many cases...
That goes for your vid.card drivers as well as your chipset drivers of your mobo...Dumb question probably, but u did install the drivers that were on your motherboard cd right?
And updating those can solve the problem as well...> go to your manufacturer's website (of your motherboard), and download the latest chipset drivers and install them...(maybe u have a motherboard update program or something?) mine is called ASUS UPDATE, forgot your board manufacturer..
good luck
