Was running it for 3-4 months on an Abit AX8 with two 1 gig sticks of ram running in dual mode until recently when my computer became really unstable and windows corrupt itself and basically i was crashing every hour. To cut a long story short i immediately thought it was the motherboard so i switched to an ASUS An8-E thinking this would solve my problem but straight out of the box it was crashing and i had weird issues and hangs when i was installing windows and drivers etc. until i decided to take out one of the 1 gig sticks just leaving 1 gig in there running in single mode and the compouter is as solid as a rock. I also tried running 1 gig in single mode on my last motherboard and it was solid as well. I am right in saying this has to be down to my cpu and am i right to go out and spend alot of money on a new cpu?
P.S. ram settings are on auto and i tried increasing the voltage to v2.65 as i did on my old motherboard for months without issues.
