360 HD transfer

Ok so here is my situation. I have an xbox with all my saved games, Arcade games etc on the HD.

Just got a replacement 360..can I pop this old HD on it and act as if it was my old 360 or will some of my DLs not be playable on the new one because it is console specific content?

I am at work, so I am not testing it out, but just thinking about it now...

Yes, I have two 360's and I interchange their hard drives all the time ;-)

Yep. It will work just fine.

You'll have to be signed in to the profile that bought any XBLA games to get the full version though. When you buy XBLA games, the game is tied to the profile and the machine's ID. You can call MS support and get them to fix that though.

yeah its the same XBL account, only one. I am thinking the one I have I will just get a memory card for, just for offline saved games, and the other for movies/demos etc

Good to know, I will have to try it out when I get home!

The reason I was asking is, my halo2 maps I bought, looks like its only on the one HD, but the new 360 is trying to make me buy them again...

I'll test it out when I get home..
