And rumors of MGS being ported by Konami to the 360 continue to persist. If it does get ported in a very short time frame from the PS3's release, I think that will be the final nail in the coffin for Sony this generation.
I really don't find the graphics from either system to be overly impressive, especially for the prices of the systems. COD 3 was particularly disappointing- the graphics seemed kind of wooden and ugly. I am guessing that the current games don't really take advantage of the hardware.. or at least hoping they don't.

Its a little sad to see people being misleading about the consoles. Anyone who has looked at the Ps3 knows that the Cell processor is a totally different and more powerful design (8 SPEs with 1 control processor). Early ports are obviously not customized for the Cell.
To take the performance of early ports to try and paint a picture of what we can expect down the road shows a lack of understanding of the hardware or is purposefully misleading.
I actually work for a game dev. I'd like to think I have a reasonable view of what it possible with the hardware. Prediction is that there is very little that we'll be able to do on one machine that we can't do on the other. Sure there will be a few exclusives that take advantage of the particular bag of trick available to either system, but titles that look noticably different will probably be the exception rather than the rule.
Given Im in Animation, not the programming side of things, but its what Im seeing here and hearing from other friends in the industry.
