wow, wow, wow, wow, thats all i can say.
All though its huge and sexy the image looks so what grainy or is that just the pic.
But overall that looks BADDD!
But i sure bet you youd need 2x x1900xtx in CF to run that at max res on HL2.

Any chance I can get one of these in the UK?
And how bad does it look when you play games at un-native resolutions of say 1680x1050 for example?

nope I run it at 1920x1080 w/ a x2 3800 and a 7800GT w/ 4AA and 8AS. And it runs butter smooth. Considering my system use to push 1920x1200 w/ the 2405, the lower ress is a blessing

The grainyness is the camera, cheap digital Kodak.

If I can't run it in native, I don't want to run it. But I do run my 360 at 1280x720 and it looks great.

Hey man, does that grey bar underneath the LCD come off? This LCD is looking pretty nice to me. 1920x1080 is a perfect res for a 37" LCD for me.

Yes the grey bar comes off very easily, it's the speakers, I left them on since I use in speakers when watching TV.

Model is http://www.westinghousedigital.com/pc-26-7-37-1080p-monitor.aspx

When you remove the speakers, can the LCD be lowered? I basically need the LCD to be about an inch off the ground. Maybe it's too much to ask, and I may need to buy an LCD arm that will support a 37" LCD.

It can be removed from the base but it does not lower once the speaker bar is removed as the speakers and the base are 2 seperate pieces.

Alright, thanks man. Nice display! Would you say it is better than the 2405? Is ghosting a problem?

I wouldn't unless you dont mind poor black levels and crushing of whites (both bad for watching movies) , It's decent as a PC monitor tho.

thats easily resolved w/ adjusting the backlight and brightness.

Whenever you buy any LCD TV you get it out of the box with everything maxed. Manufactures do that so they look all nice and bright sitting on the sells floor, it's known as "dynamic mode".

Turning the brightness / backlight down helps but it ends up losing black detail in the process, It's a known issue with LCD's especially ones that use IPS panels (which the Westinghouse is based on).

I don't know much about these displays, but how is the ghosting on there? Any? At all noticable?

That's a very impressive display! Makes me want to play HL2 again.

I assume you got that trailer from Apple.com. Your colors look far more vivid than mine, although I am looking at the screenshot on the same screen as the video, so I feel it must be an issue of settings. I am using the quicktime h264 codec, as it is smoother than the x264 codec, and the sound tends to stay in sync better as well.

Have you tweaked your video settings at all?

Thanks

Edit: Although your screeny of cars looks much worse than mine, although that could be your camera dealing poorly with the bright light.
