$40K is near 'Vette range as there is not a lot of competition in the 2-seater sports car category so I hope they don;t skimp on the interior!

So it's a 350Z with some new headlights, front bumper and hood (and looks worse than the former). A modest increase in power... YAWN... Next.

I think it looks good. But what really interests me is the GTR Spec-V in the slideshow

Looks nice; hopefully the interior will be significantly revised, as the interior of the 350Z was less exciting than some newer family sedans.

It's what the Z should have been all this past generation!
Keep the cost down, and it's a true winner

QFT...even now the price is close to other much better choices out of the box.
It's going to still appeal to the 'Z car' enthusiasts though, I don't think they are looking to increase their market share as much as keeping those that are buying to continue to do so.
The 350Z isn't terrible stock, but the aftermarket is clearly what's needed for this car. My friend's will probably be in many magazines within a year. He's put an incredible amount of money into this car and races it which makes it even more interesting for a story. Everything is ordered, it's just a matter of waiting for a lot of the parts to be made and shipped from Japan.
He had a set of 4 / 2 piston Stoptechs on the car for like 2 months and now has Project Mu 6 / 4 piston brakes coming. Between the two sets, it's like 10k in braking. When it's finished it's going to be insane.
After his twin turbo setup was put on with a simple tune he stopped by and we went for a ride. He has 315 Pole Position's and the thing couldn't get traction even in 3rd if he wanted...we ran out of road before 4th.

That car has an incredible engine, perfect for forced induction. He definitely needs to spring for DOT-R tires though. PP won't do.

Vette starts at $47k MSRP. With options it quickly climbs into low to mid $50k range. That's still quite a price difference.
I like the specs on the new Z. ~50+ more hp and 200lb lighter sounds nice to me. ~3000lb is not bad at all.

I like the styling too. Much closer to the original look. Except the headlights aren't doing it for me.
