3770k retail review up

This cpu looks like a hard sell when you got a $200 2500k that is the best thing since sliced bread.

Gamers would not need a i7 3770k but maybe for professionals it would be perfect.

a 2500k was major overkill for the kids to run a 460\560 for games.
-a bottom end i3 and a 580\6970 \570\6950 would have made more sense for gaming on a bottom budget,
-so more over kill is bad ?
-so many post "no one needs more/ or faster hardware than I have ",gets old.
-not pointing at you , but anyone that has said that on a number of forums has a 2500k. I could say that about a 920,
-looks like only they[2500k owners] have the only valid option on hardware value , any other features other hardware brings has no value to them as they don't need it nor should you.

Oh since October of last year i went from a old core 2 duo e8200 to a i3 2100 to my recently purchased 2500k and yes the 2500k was a worthy replacement even when i had it matched with a gtx560.

BF3 saw immediate improvements mostly in map loading,minimum framerate as well as average as well as faster texture loading when i spawned and the Hard reset benchmark i got a 10fps average increase.

Sorry for the advancements in technology where cheaper plus newer is better then your last generation stuff thats more expensive and oh yes,there's plenty of value in other products like the i3 2100 for budget gaming,the pentium g850 for a average system and amd fusion for htpc and hell if your rocking a amd dual core a 1090t would be a sweet edition for little cost over a whole new intel platform.

You have a few options (assuming you have very fast low-latency memory + ssd):

1. cache + cores now
2. cache + cores + IB ipc later
3. cache + cores + haswell ipc later
