All of this just seems rather strange to me, because:

A) OGR is only for fun.
B) RC5 is only for fun.
C) SETI is only for fun.
D) Everybody seemed so nice to me and to each other when I started not that long ago.

OK, I will continue on by myself with my own (very) little herd... It's probably easier getting along with myself. But seriously guys, I hope nobody gets too worked up about such benign issues, because it would be sad to lose parts of the Team over some not-so-important misplaced remarks. Go TA!

For my "bad" attitude... I have apologized.

I offer only my frustration at seeing TA slaughtered daily by the DPC while we sit with a marginal gain here and there with the possible exception of Denis (Dennilfloss) - who is an absolute animal and should be elevated to "godlike" status.

I am known to have biting sarcasm, strange humor, and fierce devotion. I lash out at what I perceive to be a threat to the team. I am also human, and therefore misconstrue 'threats' at times.

My attitude is this: IF WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE TA #1, THEN WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
period.

I don't ask to be loved... I have a wife for that - and she is a remarkable woman. I ask that we get bloody motivated and get busy BEFORE the DPC take first place. I'm certain that there will be a massive recruiting drive after the fact. I'm asking each member to think of things in the future tense and put the same effort into it NOW.

For my words and demeanor recently - I apologize sincerely.

Though our methods differ from time to time I never questioned that our goal was the same.

I would just like to make the point that had I seen so many criticisms of other members of the team back at the beginning (for me) I definitely would not have joined TA. I suspect the same holds true for other would-be TA members. Yes, let's encourage others to support the cause, but should one's temper starts to flare, one would be well-advised to sit back for a second and think about what TA really stands for... to kick /.'s @ss and not to fight amongst ourselves. (I'm not talking about anybody in particular, by the way.)

I think the truly interested recruiters will continue to recruit (Go Dennifloss!) and positive encouragement is a great way to help.

I would like to apologize to Dan for what I said. It is not Dan that I should have taken my frustration out on. Digging up old problems does not help anyone.

I joined this team because I liked the community that was presented in the forums. I liked the way that everyone did what he or she could to help others out and to pass on what they had learned of the software that we are using. (Dnet, SETI, GF, ECDL and others that I am sure I missed)

Over the last few months things have broken down. The tight nit community is not functioning the way it once did. There has been too much fighting amongst ourselves. By my post I just added to the one thing that is driving me away from this community. Everyone needs to put the fighting behind him or her and try to move on. Once that has happened the team can move forward and on to the top in all of its competitions.

One question I keep getting is if I have quit. I am still working at RC5 but for now I have changed to no team. I plan to keep helping out where I can and to follow the forums. Over time, if that community spirit comes back, I would like to return to the team, if I am still welcome.

Still; something I really hate is people deleting what they said earlier. I reckon that's one of the basic rules of online discussion. People won't understand what I and others said in response to your topic, and nobody can learn from it. Furthermore I find it very weak to withdraw a reasonably good argumented &quot;attack&quot;.
