Actually Azn, if you look at the benchmarks in the article the two 4770's beat the single 4890 by just as much in high resolutions than lower resolutions. And you're saving $50.

Just get a 4770 and then get another one later on.

I've got a radeon hd 3870 that I'm gonna upgrade. I want to do gaming at 1920x1080 or 1900x1200 and want to know if the hd 4770 would be a good upgrade. Or should I go for a hd 4870 or 4890?

thank god the OP didn't listen to the guy with 2 freakin' posts!! 4890 for $190 is so much better than 2x4770, it's stupid to even discuss it.

Finally found a 4770 review which also features a 3870. Ultimate Hardware reviewed the Sapphire Radeon 4770 against a Sapphire Radeon 3870.

Thanks for digging up that review. I ended up going with the 4890. Eventually I will get a 1920x1080 monitor and the extra hardware will help.
