I think both have 2 levels of cache. The K6-2+ just has less than the K6-3. It also uses a .18 micron process instead of .25.
If this is between the + procs - K6-2+ and K6-3+ - and not a K6-2+ and original K6-3, then the contest is simpler. The K6-3+ is definitely better.
What the procs look like:
K6-2 - .25 micron, 64KB L1 cache, L2 cache on motherboard, 3DNow and MMX
K6-3 - .25 micron, 64KB L1 cache, 256KB L2 cache (full speed), 3DNow and MMX
K6-2+ - .18 micron, 64KB L1 cache, 128KB L2 cache (full speed), L3 cache on motherboard, 3DNow Enhanced and MMX
K6-3+ - .18 micron, 64KB L1 cache, 256KB L2 cache (full speed), L3 cache on motherboard, 3DNow Enhanced and MMX
I don't know how the original and + procs compare to each other, but in each category, the 3's are better than the 2's. And as has been said, the K6-x+ procs do overclock well, usually to 550 or even 600MHz. Just be sure that your motherboard supports the + processors.
