Not sure about the eVGA version, but I've heard (generally speaking) the GT's are overclocking very well. That said, keep in mind that even if you could get the GT to stock GTX clocks (450/1200) you'd still be slower because the GT has only 20 pixel pipelines and is missing a shader.

My BFG does 480/1200 with no trouble but YMMV.

Isn't it also possible to unlock the other pipelines? I've heard mention of it, but haven't read deeply into it.

Anyway this might only be warm, since the XFX was cheaper recently at ZZF. Maybe still is? Link to thread about XFX 7800GT for $369.99
